I was asked to display my car at a press day yesterday, here are some my Blackberry snaps!
The owner of the Scuderia left his window open during heavy showers... d'oh!
I'm afraid i haven't done this place/event much justice. In my keeness to be fully prepared, the camera was put aside for the most of the trip but hopefully i can fill some gaps with a paragraph or two...
The Spa Britcar race was a longer affair than normal, so we got our mate to be our third...
We're at Spa next week for a long race so with the engine doing about as much it can, the team had a think about a new aero package. The Elise had a stock Motorsport body, whereas the BMWs etc. in our series are considerably wider than their production counterparts, so we thought we deserved a...
Don't suppose any of the CS resident photographers were at Anglesey this weekend?
Sadly i couldn't attend, so it was my dad on his own for the two races. He qualified 2nd, but managed to stall it on the line! After everyone overtook him, he managed to pass 27 cars to reclaim second by the...
Got this photo from the CSL Forum, this is Montoya's CSL he has had imported. As you can see, the photo taken at port authority has a Vee in the background too... maybe the first into the US?
Are they actually allowed to drive them on the road without a model report though? I know there are...
Never messed around with Playlists before and am having difficulty!
I used the File menu to create a new Playlist. It then creates a Folder icon called Untitled for me, which i renamed to Acoustic.
I've then gone to the Music folder and attempted to drag the song but i get the no entry icon...
So Rockingham was my first race of the season as i couldn't attend Silverstone, our driver coach taking my place. Neither my dad or i have been to Rockingham before, so we were booked on the Friday testday for some practice...
This season we treated ourselves to some new helmets! I love the...
Was at Spa yesterday, rented a Caterham. Forgot what an arse those cars are, a mix between a toy car and a motorbike! It was a base model so almost fell asleep on the straights but was a good laugh round the bends as you'd expect...
Not the best pics, but took some snaps throughout the day...
I was doing a fitness thing at Porsche's new centre at Silverstone today. The main thing they do is take prospective Porsche owners out in new cars, so a few tasty motors are held there! Here's some snaps from my lunchbreak...
Sneaked into a room to find a new...
Back early from our first test of the season due to a crank seal going... bloody Lotus! Car is now at 250bhp with lower revs and 697kg despite gaining air jacks and a few other gizmos... pushed Rob Collard's BTCC car along!
The car also has new uprights developed in-house, lowering the car by...
Was a bit busy to take loads (or decent quality!) photos of the show, but it was a great year! Live show was amazing, really enjoyed it... amazing cars out there, including a 206 rally car with a V12 F1 engine... lol. Crazy...
Biggest disappointment was the Focus RS. The green one i took a...
After bumps, scrapes and abuse during 2008 i decided the car needed some deserved TLC for the new year. I entrusted Rob @ Supercar Detailing with the work and am really happy it! Whilst he was doing that i repaired the car port so she can stay out of the elements over the artic winter! I have no...
Great day today, nice to get the car back on circuit after my last shunt! When i arrived there were a few too many chavs around for my liking, but everyone i spoke to was actually really nice. Only problem for me was the disappointing brakes again.
I got a few snaps in between swapping over...
My mate had a bump in his Phase 1 Mk2 Clio. It has projector light which has a broken cover but the lights still work ok. Is it possible to order just the outer bit? Is there anywhere online to find part numbers?
Cheers
Rob
Well, little has actually changed with the CSL over the last 4 months or so but even so there has been still a lot of damage to mind and wallet on a personal level!
Some may remember what i did to it a while back...
Besides the obvious damage, the impact the car took meant the exhaust...
Some pics from more testing at Brands... will get some race pictures up soon and let you know how we got on :)
Never noticed the roof lifting off before!
This is nothing i've really done before on websites. A client wants to play a flash .flv file on their website. We put it into a free flash player. It works in house directly linking to the file, but on our web server and his web server it refuses to work. Do you need an enabled web server or is...
Since the last Britcar race at Snetterton was a no show thanks to gearbox/engine woes we've been packing in test days up until the last race at Brands next weekend.
Anywho, it was found that an erroneous bolt was stuck in one of the cylinders causing engine failture and the gearbox problems...
Interesting to see just how well a modified road (just about...) car can do against dedicated road cars. Here is a BMI race...

Think the Skyline does pretty well, although 620bhp clearly helps! The F40 is disappointing though, whupped!
I would start one of these project threads if it wasn't so glacier like, but after 5 months of waiting for the bodykit for the NSX has finally arrived! Some may remember i was starting to worry if i'd actually ever get it, so to say i'm happy is a gross understatement!
As you will see in the...
