Sort of, they have a full climbing frame cage and dashboard etc. They weigh in at around 950kg which is around the same as my Cup racer i converted for rallying, was worried B14's would be to soft but it looks like they will be good for what i need. I was meant to be getting Reigers but it takes...
Mk2 cup racers are definitely around the 900kg mark, mine was weighed when it was SVA'd and if irc it was about 960kg. Thats with some fuel in the tank, a passenger seat, headlights, extra fire extinguisher, steel fuel tank guard, also had a slightly lighter carbon bonnet.
Apart from GRP...
You must of got the last set, I tried to order 10 today in white and ended up having to buy them in anthracite instead. Gonna have to get my other sets sprayed to match now haha. And atleast the dust from my DS3000's wont show up as bad once it has eaten into the paint.
Also interested to know this? Im pretty sure the clio 197/200 uses a 23.8mm master cylinder aswell. Been quoted £83 from Renault for one so might take the plunge, if its wrong ohwell only 80 quid.
Looking good. Liking the new door bar looks exactly like the otherside, unlike others i have seen previously which just had welded 2 extra bars to the single one. Im still running a single so fingers crossed i wont need to use it before i get chance to put a cross one in haha.
Did you get my PM...
Im thinking of ordering a clio 200 one as there 24m over the 21mm one on the 172, it should fit as they both use an ATE servo etc. But if it doesnt ive just spent quite a bit of money on a useless part which is why i was trying to find out if there is one that will fit haha.
Yeah i do, my...
Hi does anyone know if the brake master cylinder from a clio 197/200 will fit a 172? Reason for wanting to fit on is the are 24mm unlike the 22mm one on the 172 which will reduce the pedal travel gained with my 4 pot brakes.
Cheers
Mike
Does anyone know if 10mm hubcentric spacers will fit on the rear? i know quite allot of cars have troubles with the centre spigot on the hub being too long and not allowing the spacer to locate properly.
What are you going to use to feed the new heater vents? the standard blower they come with is about as useful and a chocolate fire guard.
Also did you get my PM about the Reigers?
If the other persons insurance dont pay out though you foot the bill or you end up with a claim on your policy. 9/10 this doesn't happen and its pretty obvious its the lorry drivers fault but tbh id just stick some sticky back plastic on that light so there are no sharp edges and just wait for...
All cars log booked after 2009 need to have in date seats and belts, all cars from 2012 will need to have them in date so not too long now, you need a fuel sampling valve if the car is injection, safety film on the glass or polycarb windows, tank guard, plus some other stuff. Its all in the blue...
They do a wishbone kit now aswell which i think i might get too, they also do a nice top mount setup with strutbrace and rear axle strengthening kit. I may aswell just get next months wages sent straight to pure motorsport rather than my own account haha.
Its spherical bearing which is exactly what a rose joint is except the ones in the kit arent made by Rose bearings ltd, spherical bearings are commonly called rose joints in motorsport as you must know.
Didn't know that powerflex dont make bushes for the rear axle though, just assumed they did...
Hi, going to be replacing the rear axle on my rally car soon and will need to rebush the axle that is going in the car. But i cant make my mind up as to weather i should just stick it on with some powerflex bushes or convert it to rose joints using this kit...
Mudflaps have to be fitted on all rally cars now, they also have to stick out that far from the wheels. Looks s**t i know, gonna be pissed when i have to put them back on my car.
Hi,
I need to change the tailpipe on my cup race exhaust as its full of holes from different baffles over the years and generally just looking tatty, but im thinking of just stealthing it as the bumper gets burnt by it and generally clio's just look nicer with a stealth.
The question i have...
