    Power Tool Perverts

I got my brother one for light work and it's actually pretty good. With a 4ah battery though, those 2ah won't last long.

Yeah, it's £40 ish a day round here.

    Trailer advice

Need to know the MAM of the car mate. Usually the bigger number on the weight plate. But I'd imagine not, because 3500kg minus the 1700kg of the trailer MAM only leaves you 1800kg. The car's MAM will be more than that I'm sure. I would do the test tbh.

And den I can't stop looking at them. Really fancy the new Milwaukee ones but they'll be ages away until they're out over here, if at all.

Funny that, me and @Yorkshire Pudding have been talking about stubby and extended ratchets 😂

    Engine block weight?

The head and block are about 100kg I think. Stripped out I'd imagine the block being 40kg ish. @dann2707 might know as he made a few tables out of them.

Going off the one @Archtronics posted in the other thread, at least £3500

You've won 😂 I have a machine mart special in the shed, but I keep mine mobile now in the Milwaukee Packout boxes for ease of taking it all to track days. Power tools like this in small box.

    Battery drain

As I said, you need a multimeter set to Amps linked in series with the negative cable and battery terminal. Start pulling things one at a time and wait for the number to drop considerably. I'd expect and light or radio or something like that to cause that much of a current draw. Failing that...

    Battery drain

That's a massive drain to do that in one day! You need a multimeter linked in series and start pulling fuses and/or the alternator power cable.

OBD scanner tool/app and ABS sensors - 182

Don't know of any obd apps that can read the abs computer protcol on these unfortunately.

Scraping noise from front end (after flood water)

I had a monumental grinding noise last year when my abs rings were corroded that much that a piece had come off and got stuck between itself and the hub. Could feel it through the whole car and sounded worse than it actually was.

    Clutch change issue

If the brakes were on you could brake and then see if it still does it. You do get some driveshaft movement when there's no load, that's just from internal friction in the box generating enough to spin them I think.

It's got a hammer mode too which will drill brick relatively easy with the right drill bit. Wouldn't recommend it for trying to go through a full cavity like 😂

    What's special about them?

Wouldn't mind trying the new ratchets though, that 100 tooth mechanism must be nice.

    The new tool thread

The 200 piece has ratchet spanners instead of normal box end ones and also the flexi joints are the proper 360° ball type which are miles better than the pinned ones. Would be the kit to go for IMO if you didn't already have the spanners.

    Megane 225 gear lever issue

😂 Been years since I've done one, but could have sworn it was a 13mm. 14mm is such an odd size on them, can usually do the whole car with 10, 13, 17, 19mm 😂

E10 Fuel 2021- would you need a remap?

I filled up the Clio with what I believe was 95 octane E10 about 2 years ago in Le Mans in France. No noticeable difference tbh.

    Steering Wheels (Snappy Ones)

It follows the same contours as the oem Sparco did. Don't think he's requested any extra padding.
