Not really, well you can but its hard to tell, as on some 172s they are due their 2nd cambelt change this year. If it was mine and it was clear nothing had been done and your going to continue keeping the car for a while id do everything, cambelt kit, aux belt kit, oil, oil filter, fuel filter...
Some early 1.2 8vs came with a tacho, all 2000+ came with one. They seem to get better with mileage (the head gasket normally goes at 150k) and the ph1s are a lot faster than the ph2s.
The colour of the leather is different, its more blue on a mk1, i think the colour of the alcantara is different, on the mk1 is lighter, the alcantara on the bottom of the ph2 seats has a pattern. The logo on the mk1 is in colour, the slider mechanism is slightly different, iirc the wiring is...

The mk2ph1 1.9d one is a lot different. Im sure the 172/182 one has extra mounting points for certain things. Wasnt aware the suspension mounts were wider.
Nah cant think of any that use bendix on the front. Renault always use Lucas. The rears on 1.6s/172s etc use rear bendix or bosch (same caliper). Even the Clio III use lucas all round.
Ive got a 6k kit fitted to my car, very pleased with them, as they are optical lens they are not blinding and look oem. They look a bit weird on with standard sidelights but you can get sidelights that have more of a white or blue tint. Ill see if I can take a pic. Make sure you strap down the...
What dash lights are staying on after the ignition is turned on?? Check the TDC sensor and wiring. Chances are someone might have spilled the oil when filling it up doing an oil change.
