10mm mdf should be fine,the ring needs to be 165mm in diameter in order for the speaker to bolt to it,then the mdf ring needs to be bolted to the doorcard,no modification should be required for it to fit.so long as you use 10mm mdf spacer it SHOULD be fine behind the grill mount the mdf ring...

when you say you have remove the cd changer loom at which end?from the back of the radio or where the changer fits? you say you have checked all the fuses,have you checked under the bonnet fuses,if they are fine,trace the wiring back from the radio to see if you have pulled it out anywhere

if you can measure how much room you have got to be able to mount an mdf ring then youll know straight away,saxo and 106's its possible but unsure of clio

would it not be the rubber bits in the top corners of the screen causing it?drag from the mirror?

you "should" be able to get them to fit,if you make and mdf ring to mount the speakers then bolt it to the door behind the door speaker grill,might be a tight fit

i tend to leave it overnight before i lacquer,better safe than sorry,and then after lacquer 48hrs to properly cure so i dont get fingerprint marks

what your sposed to do if you de-lock is have 2 cables hidden and then when your battery dies,etc then connect the 2 and they unlock your car and you can sort whatever has died.

yep handbrake cable to an earth and screen will stay on permanently until ignition is switched off, it has pre outs for front rear and subwoofer, rear and sub are on same pre out iirc

lowered and de-locked looks a bit better.hehe

if you find it that difficult,take out your hazard button and use a very long screw driver to manouvre the cable to out of the way

placed mine behind the plastic thats to the side of the footwell,ie. where the bonnet release handle is and same on driver side

yep take out rears,you aint gonna be in the back so your only gonna lose the sound stage in the front :) spend the extra on better comps or put it towards a sub and amp

do you have any knowledge of fitting anything to your car,doing it yourself may take a while but its worth the effort for the extra money saved :)
