Whoops yeah sorry i somehow assumed it was just the gaitors. Renault used to do an exchange basis on the driveshafts where you'd get money back from your old ones (assume they went away to be re-manufactured).

You might get away with it. The offset of 172 wheels is around that and people fit them to 1.2s. If they dont then 3mm spacer will be fine to bring them out a bit.
Have you checked the TDC sensor, starting problems are normally caused by this. Take it off and give it a good clean and see what happens. Do a search for the guide.
Do you plan to keep the car off the road? I think you only need to declare sorn when you next renew your tax or decide to claim money back from tax. Not 100% on that

If not there maybe someone on here who works for renault that can get it for you. I think renault use a online based system to get them.
