Just thought id make you all aware that there is an ecu upgrade now available for the clio 197s to improve the cold running/hesitation of the engine from cold. It just involves re-programming the ecu. All dealers should be aware of it.
I found out from the Renaultsport forum. Thought id...
As above, I think with a bit of jiggling about you can get away with doing it without touching the subframe (from memory).
When refitting the sump, tighten all the bolts to 8NM, then tighten them to approx 13NM in the correct order working out from the middle rear. See below
The problem with the mk2ph1 1.2s is that nearly all of them have 52mm hub bolt hole spacing. Spax are the only ones I know of that do shocks that will fit. On my old one I had spax shocks and apex springs but I wouldnt recommend the apex springs. The car handled and looked well at first but...
Ive managed to get a bearing out of a drum, it destroyed the bearing though. I used a old 30mm socket a piece of wood that was just the right size and a vice clamp. Used the same method to press the new one in. I wouldnt recommend it though.
They will fit fine, not only can you leave the rings on there will just be no sensor that uses them but you can prob slide them off anyway.
£37 with bearing in is a bargain.
Not sure what you mean?? There is part of the shield on the driver side shaft near where it goes into the box that goes over the shaft, but if this was loose you'd hear it banging/vibrating.
Assuming its the front the abs rings are pressed onto the driveshaft. Renault will tell you that you need to order a new shaft but on some models the rings can be ordered seperatly and fitted.
Youve missed it mate, it was on the 7/8th of june. If you sign up to the offical renaulsport website, they will email you when the tickets are available to order.
I dont think they have decided where its going to be next year.
Can you post a pic, that ikea is a nightmare at the moment as they are digging up half of the carpark and the rest is fenced off!!
Did you get her numberplate?
You can do the above, however if your quick you can just disconnect the first hose on the filter (have a bowl to hand underneath) let it trickle a little bit of fuel into the bowl. Remove the other hose, remove the filter and slot the new filter in, connecting the hoses back up.
Dont put your...
From the DVLA (the first lot of letters used owner info that was several months out of date). Its all Clio IIs, need to take to renault for them to decide if it needs replacing. The issue on the ph1s is that the metal safety catch/slider part corrodes so if you dont shut the bonnet properly the...
