its actually not a bad job removing the dash, just time consuming lol
dash top off
dials out
steering wheel off
radio out
trim that goes around the gearstick and houses the cup holders etc out
disconnect connectors from hazard panel, cruise control panel etc etc
disconnect connectors from...
I noticed the fridge engineers at work using one of these to blow out the condensers on the fridge packs, I'm not sure how powerful it is for a car but it looked reasonably powerful when I seen them using it! they had it hooked up to one of those big water bottles (maby 25litre?!) that has a...
I wouldn't bother with the black one as it doesn't have the cup packs, maybe they are at the age that isn't really a deal breaker but?
The blue one you linked is pretty tidy, seats in good nick, steering wheel in good nick, carpets, dash etc all looks nice. mileage is a bonus, I think your cash...
fit is spot on, its as quiet as stock (from what I can remember of my genuine standard one) bends look ok on it so don't imagine its hurting performance, my motor pulls REALLY strong and my big cone filter makes enough noise to make up for a standard exhaust lol
looks really tidy, when I saw Scotland I got excited there for a minute. There's one appeared parked on the main street in my village every night that looks night, im going to chap the boys door and see if its for sale lol thought this might be it
as above relocate it to the bin, so much tidier under the bonnet, easier and cleaner to remove the engine, much more reliable, more power, not really a down side!
beat me too it I was on youtube searching for the video to link!!!!!
personally I would tidy it up, don't take this the wrong way but considering its low miles the engine bay looks horrible, give it a clean, paint the inlets, get a fuse box cover on it. Headlights need a polish, remove the...
great idea, design leave a bit to be desired, not fancy re designing the handbrake cover to incorporate it into that? or at least round the corners etc to follow the lines of the handbrake cover
Its already running a similar spec to yours, EFI mapped 150hp/160lbft. Think I'm re-shelling it into a facelift, project thread to come as soon as the van is finished lol
I love them, not sure id have another, changing the exhaust manifold on the garage floor was f**king horrendous then the centre silencer died and the only way it seemed to rectify it without getting a flat spot was an akrapovic at £1200, which sounded mint then the gearbox went and before I got...
There is or was a member on here called Oliver k4m or somthing like that who has done a bit of tuning to these engines.
I wouldn't put too much money into modding it, as you say not many about anymore I would look to keep it clean and tidy up any bits needing it and just enjoy it for what it is
