lovely, love a nice standard looking iceberg. reminds me of my first one. Good being an early one you have no ESP to worry about (one less warning light 😂 )
good call on the cup dampers, make a nice difference especially when the old ones are worn/crap lol Kam racing have a great deal at the...
That was the biggest downside to trophy ownership for me, I had a low millage mint one and I enjoy driving them properly so every new stonechip and blowing the baffles out of the mint standard exhaust used to bother me lol
the rough, cheap ones have been the ones I've enjoyed the most, and the...
This, and also because Fred said so in 2007 lol
As I said above my rear was doing nothing as could be seen from the surface rust on my discs lol but afterwords it felt like the car was hunkering down under breaking rather than nose diving and going light at the rear
Looks good with the splitter, not fancy the skirts to match?
You should look into an akrapovic for it, best sounding exhaust I have ever heard, it's how it should have left the factory. It's the only aftermarket exhaust I've ever owned that doesn't sound like an aftermarket exhaust!
That could be my issue then I didn't try that just used the pressure bleeder. Will give it a go today cheers
I can't remember if it was running at the time, I tried bleeding with and without the engine running.
Evening guys. Having a load of bother bleeding the abs on the 182 van.
The system was fully emptied of fluid before being swapped over to the van.
I've got an rs tuner with the abs module, I can access it and connect no problem and it appears on the screen that the bleeding is taking place but...
I've rarely ever had to do rear pads in any of my Clio's as they last so long but I done a pair of rear discs a few years back and stuck a set of pads in, at the time I was fully aware of the "just fit the std pads they don't do anything" and the only "uprated" pads I could find were EBC green...
id have a 197/200 over the 225 any day.
problem with the 197/200 is they cost a bomb when they go wrong, gearboxes, exhaust manifold flexi, front hubs etc etc at least with a 182 the majority of issues are cheap fixes.
Delivery from Kam racing today.
182 cup dampers and grams springs.
Ordered a pair of genuine front dust covers/bump stops and powerflex rear upper mounts. waiting on fresh front top mounts and they are good to fit
I prefer to buy a car that's not had the belts done for the right price as then I can get them done, properly and I'm good for the next 5yrs.
It's all too common for places to do just a belt rather than a kit, or fake invoices, or incorrect timing etc
I don't think the problem on this 2006(?) Clio is actually the head gasket. As the head gasket on a 2006(?) Clio isn't a common issue.
I think it's a problem with the connection between the seat and the steering wheel...
I assume someone asking to look at the back of the engine was asking what steering rack was on it as the smi sticker faces you when you look down under the manifold from memory
Those were the days, I went to a revo day a few years back with my mate in his 500hp golf R, he sat on the line, on launch control, came off the brske, auto box done the changes and bragged all day he was the fastest car if the day. Changed days!!!
Just shoes how different opinions can be, I found the twingo gearbox horrid, as with all the modern JR5 boxes.
Also found the 133 was no better than a 182 on fuel.
I think an Elise would be better to live with daily 😂
As a toy though, spot on. I'd have a 197 over one every day of the week...
I preferred my 133 over any of my RS clios as a toy, but on anything other than a spirited drive where you went out with the intention of being a hooligan it was hard hard work.
a woman in the street up from me called the police on me for the way I was driving down the street, I was doing 30mph...
code read on it is showing this...
when bleeding the brakes via RS tuner when you select the abs pump activation I cant hear or feel anything through the pedal im sure I should hear the pump cycle?
Well just ripped it round the scheme, she drives! It's running a little rough with a slight missfire so more investigation required tomorrow. But I'll sleep easy tonight knowing she works haha
