worth pricing up with renault they are a hit and a miss with exhausts i got a full 172 system from them for about £200 then checked a 182 system and it was about a grand lol.
Mine had the standard system and i thought it sounded perfect! nice note when going for it and nice and quite about town
First post points directly to the battery, the fact it drove fine after being jump started shows the alternator is charging and running the car when the engine is running. the 14v when its running also.
struggling to turn over and going flat after only 15 mins points you in that direction.
poor...
yes, its just a lot of hassle to run the front speakers amped as you need to run the speaker wire to the crossover and then run speaker wire to the front door speakers and tweeters up in the top of the dash, for not a lot of benefit!
as above it will work, assuming you have enough preouts, most modern pioneers have 3 that I've seen.
i would just add the sub and not worry about front components, your going to be taking the low end handling off the front speakers anyway with your sub so will be able to get more volume without...
The 182 was crash repaired and the front frame had had a knock, didnt look too bad but i knew the DCI one was perfect as it had been hunter aligned not long before, they are identical anyway other than the hole for the 4th mount
usually you would be able to go to the dealership and assuming they have not had any major systems upgrades where they didn't migrate old data after a certain date then you would be able to get a print out of the service records, we recently done it for a clio 197. But if the garage has since...
It was thought at one point it was an import from a market where a sunroof was offered, but the pics confirmed its aftermarket.
Thats it back in 2003? i think at a CS meet:
It's an after market sunroof
It's had a hard life. It suffered a cambelt snap when it was only 2 years old and Renault rebuilt it, and was always down on power.
My mate owned it when it was almost new
The range was named differently on the continent from what we got in the UK. A quick Google search finds other tech run cars all with the same interior, wheels and all 1.4 16v so must have just been some special edition
yeah my first thought would be injectors when I read that but if its had 4 new, known good ones then it probably could point towards that connector still playing funny buggers. As the original problem seems to have gone but this one has arrived? repeat the process again id say, then coat it in...
It's only on later cars it does it around 2005. Get one from an older car and it will be fine. You don't have the air circulation button that all the early ones have but if you get one that does it will still work fine
To be honest the pedal and TB are expensive. I would chance my luck with a 2nd hand one first as it's not a massively common fault so you would be unlucky to end up with another faulty one.
HOWEVER that white plug under the fuse box sends so many people down the throttle body and pedal route...
That lower subframe mount on mine looked proper past it, I fitted all new mounts to the other 3 and ordered a brand new replacement for that mount and it made no difference so I wouldn't worry about it
Would need to plug it in and look at live data.
Off the top of my head id be looking at:
White plug under the fuse box for corrosion.
Relays in the fuse box for corrosion
Check injectors
Replacement throttle body
Replacement accelerator pedal
