    Megane R26 430bhp (500bhp+ potential)

No boost by gear in this, it's all of it straight away. Once rolling it's rapid but yeah it can't put the power down if you mash the throttle pulling away.

Comes with a free Megane ?

    Megane R26 430bhp (500bhp+ potential)

When i was with him getting it mapped, he said he's nearly £20k in. Not sure how accurate that is, but the engine must be £10k i would have thought.

    I’m £2,000 down, but

Yeah mega bargain. Lucky really, it was up for sale on here and within minutes there was people offering to buy it without even seeing it. I knew the guy's brother so persuaded him to hold off until i could get over to see it and he did.
  6. Mr Trailer Man

    I’m £2,000 down, but

Was yours standard when you got it? Mine already had coilovers, exhaust and 2118's.
  7. Mr Trailer Man

    I’m £2,000 down, but

The chance to buy a good one for cheap has passed now. It was 5 years ago when i bought mine for £1800. The only things it has needed in that time (excluding cambelt/service parts) is a power steering pump and an alternator.

    Megane R26 430bhp (500bhp+ potential)

You should buy the engine for the 182.
  9. Mr Trailer Man

    I’m £2,000 down, but

£200 is about the going rate for labour cost.
  10. Mr Trailer Man

    Megane R26 430bhp (500bhp+ potential)

Think that's why he capped the torque. Yeah it was originally £13k. Not many would pay it tbh. Think he's had something personal come up ?

    Megane R26 430bhp (500bhp+ potential)

A lad over on RSMegane has built this up over the past year, a lot of money gone into it. I've seen it in person and the engine is a work of art. Full build thread can be seen on the RSMegane forum http://www.rsmegane.com/threads/big-unos-r26-project-engine-build.15621/ Has the potential to...

Have to get someone to do the welding of the played on top of that too. Probably work out about the same.
  13. Mr Trailer Man

    I’m £2,000 down, but

Mines definitely heavier than when it was first done. Certainly not as heavy as some I've driven though.

    Half cage options

SW do Civic ones all the time. Probably the one to go for. My brother's megane one from there was sound.
  15. Mr Trailer Man

    I’m £2,000 down, but

Fit a new one and then it'll stay light for about 5000 miles ?
  16. Mr Trailer Man

    I’m £2,000 down, but

Light clutch won't last long haha

    Suspected wheel bearing

The bolt spacing between the 2 lower shock bolts will be 60mm centre to centre if it's got Cup hubs.

    Raceface's 182 Track Car

Rear is fine mate. Probably one of the straightest rear beams i've seen ?
  19. Mr Trailer Man

    Raceface's 182 Track Car

Not much camber on the front for a track car. Is it on coilovers? What the guy said about moving the steering wheel doesn't sound right. Unless the wheel is fitted wrong. He should set the wheel straight first and then align to that, no exceptions. Would like to see the front toe touch more...

    Track car aerodynamics help

It's like Island bend at Oulton, but up hill. I can say it's pretty quick!

Typical symptoms of crank sensor failure?

Second time round BG 182 track car.

Doesn't help with the brake master cylinder being above the exhaust manifold on these.

Second time round BG 182 track car.

I run the PBS pads front and rear. They are mega! Some serious stopping power.

Just had my first track day at oulton!

I think you're missing the roof caved in too ? It's also a Titanium 182, not Iceberg 172.

Private car > Company car > Private car... any company keep the NCB running?

Bit of a bump for this. My dad's just recently got his own car after finishing with a company car after 24 years! He had a quote from AXA for £300 ish and supplied them with the letter from the company insurers saying 0 claims in so many years. Turns out they won't accept it now and want...

    Detailing Chat & Questions Thread

Dad had some weird staining on the car he's just bought. This is a glass roof which I managed to clean up with the Rupes mini DA and the yellow polish and pad. 50/50 here.
  27. Mr Trailer Man

    Thoughts please...

    Definitely valves at a minimum.

Yeah I don't go flat over it. Like you really.
  29. Mr Trailer Man

Just had my first track day at oulton!

Yeah, lifted right on the bend. Need to either be fully committed down there or lift just before it. One or the other.
