From what i've seen on here with people who use AST's, they go for 450lb/in springs which is 8kg/mm.
10kg would be roughly 550lb/in, stiff!
I'm not sure how stiff you can go before it gets a bit much.
What you think @NorthloopCup?
I take it the Valeo ones failing are just defective ones and not down to incorrect fitment?
I've not heard of many failing tbh. 2 failing must be pretty unlucky.
BC's with 8kg/8kg setup would probably be your best bet for less than £1000 yes.
There's plenty of choices for seats in that price range, just have to see what fits best for you.
I have the OMP Targa steering wheel, definitely recommend it!
Swap to 15" wheels, better handling and tyres are...
Mine is on the 98Ron map and i have ran it on 95 before and it's been fine. I wouldn't do it all the time.
Filling up a few cans on the way to the track is hardly effort is it.
I agree, but he's not using T1r or PS3's it's R888.
Starting with 22 psi would also be bad you're right. I'd suggest 27 cold to end up with about 33 hot.
Anyway, it's tyre temperature that's the key thing. Pressure is used as a "tool" to get to the temperature.
90-100c degrees is what you want across the whole tyre on an R888.
But that's going a bit OTT for trackdays.
Going with lower springs will automatically give you a bit more camber, so that would be the first thing to try. Then get the alignment done again once lowered. Max out the camber bolts really.
You need more negative camber basically.
As the suspension is rolling to one side it'll be getting more positive camber leading to sidewall wear.
A set of springs and some camber bolts would be the best place to start.
Maybe your sliders now working it's giving you a softer feel? Whereas before they were seized so the caliper didn't move much giving it a stiffer pedal.
