welcome to cliosport!
do you mean that the bonnet release leave is NOT working?? what happens when you pull the leaver? it might be worth trying to pull the leave whilst tring to pull the bonnet up as they can easily get jammed!
or buy the cup and move as many of the good parts from your existing cup over to make it as nice as possible and break the remainder of your cup to get some money back!
why would you want to boost a 1.6 clio?? just buy a 200/197.
youll save money and have a much better car!
power mods on lower powered cars is a massive waste of money!! especially considering youll also (i hope) upgrade the suspension and brakes etc. but something thats already quick and enjoy it!
why did the alarm not go off??
and it must have been someone who knew something about clios, to know where the bolts to take the seats out are!!
so id be looking at any owners of modded clios in the area.
the wheels are valver ph2 wheels, i only put them on to begin with as they already had parada spec2s on them but tbh the looks grown on me, looks oem but still different!
its sat on gaz coilovers,
and as for weight, i have no idea how much has been removed, i didnt weigh everything that came...
spent what money on tyres and fuel?? id have still had to bought the heat protection in black so it would have made no difference financially!
and the steering wheel was originally meant to act as a spacer, but has the added bonus of removable, because im gay like that!
no power gains on it...
thanks guys, i know the blue loom wouldnt be to everyones tastes, i may change it when the engine next comes out!
and ye i recieved the plugs dude, and it runs like a dream!! cheers! :D
most of the time they bang from left to right because the bearings in the strut had died!!
first time i fitted lowering springs i fitted the bearing and bush in the wrong ordered and it caused the very aggressive bang!
however, if like some people you have a constant clunking / skipping when...
if you take the seatbelts out aswell, then its fine to remove the back seats!
my airbag light illuminates and goes away even though all the airbag paraphernalia has clearly been removed!
will this still pass??
also i have fixed bucket seats bolted to the floor, they cannot be moved at all, is...
just put it all back together and take it to a garage with an impact gun! will have it off with ease! have them crack them off and just dont tighten them up too much for the careful drive home!
Took a load more pics of my track car because the engine and suspension is finished!!
just the interior to put the finishing touches to now! very excited!
Update 02/08/2012
Ok so ive not documented this very recently,
built up all the track and subframe back on,
with the exhaust manifold and radiator aswell
looked very smart! this had the pollybushed arb bushes, and poverty spec non-pas rack!
the plan was to build all the track back on...
haha ye sorry, ive kind of slacked off massively with the pictures recently.....
but ill try and bring this up to speed if my internet and photobucket holds out!!
carpets weigh a lot! when you add all the sound deadening in!!
and defs bin all the airbags,
remove all the seatbelts,
fire wall sound protection,
roof protection,
power steering pump/pipes/rack/column
arch liners
ducting for the blowers
i dont see the issue here at all!!
and to everyone who says they dont trust hydraulics...... how do you think the brakes in your clio work?? and it takes a lot more force to stop a car from 70mph than it does to lift 1000kgs!
fyi, this is what is meant by bolt spacing, the distance between the centre of both holes in the hub where it bolts to the shock! (or top of both holes or bottom of boths holes lol)
i cant see any scenario where non-sports would have 54mm or sports would have 58mm but im open to being...
holes in the airbox shouldnt make any difference to where it idles,
is it a ph1 or ph2?? its more than likely a sensor that has gone if its idling funny.
post in "cliosport technical" under suspension! suprised a mod hasnt move it aready tbh!!
if you get some lenso BSX wheels defs go for the et20 version,
and id personally go fora bit wider on the front from those pics, but the rear looks spot on!
if theyre for the 172, they wont have 58mm bolt spacing, theyd have 54mm. other than the stiffness of the suspension the only thing that differs between them is bolt spacing so you wont find 58mm sport ones.
with such a car you would realy have to take the hub off and measure, it should be...
the lenso BSX wheels come in et38 which would defs need spacers, i had them on my ph1 non-sport and theyre far too tucked,
the et20 version you may be able to get away with, but you could still benifit from spaces,
it really depends what kind of stance you want! streched tyres?
also wrong...
