Surely the response id far poorer if you've reduced the cubic volume so much? Theres a reason why there is a cubic volume requirement
And I hope that rope thing isnt all thats securing it
Ok, weird question. But I want to get my apillars the same colour as my doorcards once my tweeter pods are done otherwise they will look too aftermarket and obvious.
Any ideas on a colour to use, or if its even possible? Dont know what other options I have as to coat it in leather or...
Brillient, cheers!! Dont know how I'll get round the connection issue. Was told to use bullets - but tbh there are tons of wires mixed up that I dont know what goes where!
Right. I am currently putting the mk2ph1 leather seats into my mk2ph2 Clio.
Heres my problem:
The connectors for both are completely different on my new seats, and I'm not entirely sure how to connect them.
If I leave them for now - ie, the short drive home - what will happen?
I'm assuming...
Well its quite hard to tell from the pic tbh, as its all relative.
perhaps ask a retailer to take a look and tell you the thickness. or try to get old of the original owner.
Do you know the total power handling of the system? in rms?
you might want to upgrade the big three. (wiring to the alt. and battery, etc) this will help the dimming problems.
How big is the main power cable? As a guide, for power up to 600rms, use 8awg or thicker. For power up to 1000rms, use 4 awg or thicker - etc etc
no, you dont understand. You suggested looking perhaps at halfords and then buying a selection online. So, technically, yes, you are suggesting buying the things halfords stock
Never too late to learn how to write properly
You still suggest they stock kit which would be worth its money. I'm sorry but thats just wrong, from the point of view of someone who has followed car audio for years. Caraudiodirect dont even stock most of halfords stuff because it just isnt good enough
Perhaps with improved punctuation and spelling I'd be able to read your posts better :)
on the same note - a subwoofer generally is worth it. You dont need to get anything at 1000rms wattage or something stupid. I currently have a 600w rms diamond audio m5 sub, and its more than good enough...
erm, sorry to burst the bubble, but Halford Ripspeed dont actually sell decent set ups its all xpold and inifinity.
Mate, to get a good idea of decent quality speakers - look up a car audio place near you that NOT halfords. and see what they have. If your budget is indeed 500, try checking...
yep. in vague description, 8awg cant really take more than 600w, and even that is pushing it sometimes.
You NEED to run 4awg imo. and probably some RCA if you have no passout
My dad had the ST - for three months. He also tried the RS - no chance!
After having driven an ST, What can I say?
Hardly any immediate response on the throttle, almost like you have to will it to move forward in the firts few seconds. The interios is shoddily built and easily mucked up...
I have tons of little orange flecks on my bonnet, there a railway bridge about 100 metres away. Though I attribute the flecks to motorway exhausts - as they are only found on my bonnet
Agreed. I feel really sorry for the average consumer just there to buy a car and they get given all these details that may well be wrong. My local dealer tried to sell a friend of my mums the wrong phase Clio once! She bought a ph2mk2 and he handed her the keys to a ph1! Luckily the minute I saw...
