Well its quite hard to tell from the pic tbh, as its all relative. perhaps ask a retailer to take a look and tell you the thickness. or try to get old of the original owner. Do you know the total power handling of the system? in rms?

you might want to upgrade the big three. (wiring to the alt. and battery, etc) this will help the dimming problems. How big is the main power cable? As a guide, for power up to 600rms, use 8awg or thicker. For power up to 1000rms, use 4 awg or thicker - etc etc

yep. in vague description, 8awg cant really take more than 600w, and even that is pushing it sometimes. You NEED to run 4awg imo. and probably some RCA if you have no passout
