Can anybody give me any pointers for this? Main bit I'm struggling with is where the insert is attached to the bumper at the edges. Have just about managed to do the top and bottom clips but like I said, am having trouble with the middle clips.
Any help much appreciated.
Cheers, Adam.
Ok, thanks mate. One last question then (I think), if I use the paint that I've used for colourcoding, is there any way of removing it if I do the job and and it looks crap? You said you can remove the tinting spray easy enough though so might just try that first.
Really not sure what to do...
lol, you should have said mate! Otherwise I could have ended up with them looking like a bag of sh*te!
Might tint the whole unit then I reckon. Do they do different shades of tinting spray or is it just a case of applying layers until you reach a suitable colour?
Ok mate, might give the tinting spray a bash first then.
What I was thinking about doing with the spray paint, was to colourcode the areas pointed at with the blue arrows...
If you look, the light bulbs are set back in recesses, and thought I might just paint the areas that don't cover the...
Thanks for the quick reply Middo. Do you mean the tinting film thats used for windows yeah?
So am thinking a light smoke tint would probably look best on my lights on a hologram grey clio... or possibly spraying the areas of the cover which aren't affected by the lights, if that makes any sense...
Ok, so have unsusseccfully tried to remove the outer casing of the rear lights (tried to stanley knife the sealant and heat it up using a hairdryer...didn't fancy putting them in the oven) so am going to try tinting them.
Question is, can I tint the lights using the spray paint/ lacquer I have...
Might seem a wierd question but is it impossible to take the plastic outer casing off the front of the rear lights of my Mk2 Ph2 without damaging anything? It seems like its just glued or sealed on to the main unit.
I fancy doing something different with the rear lights rather than just...
Think I agree. If you're going for the euro look then maybe you coupld spend the money for the bonnet on getting the doors completely smoothed, or getting some side skirts smoothed in to the body?
Cheers guys. Might add another layer or two of lacquer onto the side strips to see if it will make them 'shine' a bit better. Will this make any difference or not?
Good stuff taylor. I've got mine done on my hologram grey now as well (pics here http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?t=146565 )
Looks like the finish on yours is slightly better than on mine. Well done. Think it looks really good!
Just thought I'd post a couple of pics of the colourcoding I've done over the last few days....
Fairly pleased with the results. Think it looks pretty good from a distance but when you get close up you can see a slight difference in the finish.
Big thanks to everyone who's given me advice...
