I'd really like to have something of a ASCII type information screen. Like that better then those flashy obd screens. I know yours is maybe far from that but I'd like to help with testing!
Oh man! That's exactly what I didn't do. Just left the wire hanging, seeing as it didn't interfere with anything and I was fed up fitting the cat.
Hope that that will solve it!
Well maybe not so good but a vibration nonetheless. And it's a very specific one.
In 2nd gear, at around 4k rpm I hear a rattle/vibration. This is just a moment and only occurs when pulling hard. When going slow and passing 4k I don't hear it.
I also never hear it in any other gear. And seems...
Sounds great! I reckon that that BTB cat isn't a good combination with the overrun map? (Seeing that it's still a cat and not a decat?) Because I've got the same cat and was wondering about this.
Hmh, stupid mistake in retrospect.. Got it all in the right order but I put the rubber thing on the other way round. Fixed it now!
Now I can't get the two bolts to come out on the other side! The side that I just did went fine with a few taps of the hammer.
I guess maybe give heating it up a try?
I'm changing my standard springs for eibach's. Got one done now but I thought I'd turn the wheel to check if everything was okay.
So when I turned it the spring "jumped" out of its place!
It's seated correctly (when straight) but when I turn the wheel left or right the spring jumps out at the...
I know what mentioning the pops n bangs map does on CS but I don't care :rasp:
Loaded it up and tested it out. Was funny, as expected. Then all of a sudden a BIGger bang and an end box with a hole in it :clown:
Do you know what size the 3mm old style washer is? Inside dimension I mean. Not to keen to buy them of eBay for a lot more than they're worth.
Also kudos on the drawing skills!
I do think it's quite handy. Now and then I do some motorway miles and then I'm really glad I have it. Also retrofitted it because my 172 didn't have it.
I didn't bother with the clutch switch though. It works without it anyway, also when pressing the clutch.
And it's dead easy to fit. Take...
Yes it's above 5 degrees. I tried it once though, in the cold, and gave me errors about not being able to read the ecu.
So my advice: get warm somewhere, or don't do it until it's warm enough outside.
Yes clutch switch needs to be bridged. I left all the original wires intact and bridged the two connections in the plug with a really small piece of electrical wire. Note: the other side of the plug didn't have pins going in the two for the clutch switch. So I guess you have to check that...
Decided to go for it with all the precautions taken.. First wanted to make a backup but right away got the message "could not connect to ECU".
It did this when it wanted to access the ECU. Connecting and seeing the error codes went fine.
So sent Henk an email. At least me and my car were nice...
Haha yes it's not me I'm worrying about.
I guess just having a drive is a good idea :P Temp can't be too high though because it's also supposed to be below a certain temp if I recall correctly..
And Henk is cautious, I guess with reason. I've always thought it was kind of bs to turn off your...
If you don't have a heated garage or something..
Anyway that's what Henk told me, to not flash the ECU while the temp is less than 5 degrees.
Which is a bummer!! Because after having the tuner for a while now I finally bought the 98 map
but it seems I won't be using it for a while if the...
