Ah like that! I also heard this, this morning when starting it from cold. After a minute or so the ticking sound was gone. This was after starting it when I put in some new oil.

You mean oil or water falling down in the holes ?
I can give you some more symptoms if that can help. It first occured on the motorway when wanting to overtake someone. Put my foot down and it went for a moment but then it was like it was pushing against something but it couldn't really go on...
Hmh yes so it's/was definitely something else then.. For now the problem seems to be gone and I didn't get any faults when reading it with the rs tuner. I guess there's no real use in guessing what it is without stating the obvious to go check plugs, coil pack, ...., etc.. Which I will do soon...
Okay, so there's no fail safe kind of function.. Was kind of hoping for that!
Don't have the car since a long time so I'll give it a good servicing soon. Last owner seemed caring enough but you never know..
Can low on oil mean power loss? I experienced this especially in the higher rpm ranges, when giving it some beans. It would kind of judder and sometimes take off but most of the time just not advance. It was the same experience as I once had with a turbo car when I had a loose vacuum hose, it...
Aha! Didn't recall if there was a gap before but it seemed unnatural.. I guess it's alright then, I used a new (flexi) gasket so must be ok.
Also started the car and didn't hear any air escaping.
Thanks for your answers!
Got a BTB modded cat to go on my 172.
Have it under the car, new fitting kit fitted, but the two flanges don't come all the way together! I've got the nut at least as far on the bolt as the ones that I took off. Now there's about 1 cm gap between the flanges, can see the silver gasket sitting...
That's what I wanted to know, thanks! And yes was thinking about that because more dampers (kits) seem available for the other models. But no surprise that they would work different internally.
Currently looking for springs and dampers. The eibach springs seems to have the same part number for 1.4, etc and 2.0. So I'm assuming springs are the same for each model. (Not for the 1.2)
Then dampers, am I right in assuming they are also the same for each model? (excluding 1.2)
Hope to get...
Underseat active subwoofer already changes a lot. Takes the signal from the back speakers and only "plays" the low notes. And then you can upgrade the speakers to a better brand.
I don't know if I translated this right, but you mean to say the temp gauge needle goes up when idling, and down again in gear or something?
This is just one of the things this could be translated in tbh..
I actually like that Renault did that.. I always get annoyed that after the screen has been wiped, unwiped washer fluid comes up (when driving on motorway f.e.). I always have to manually wipe one more time because of this but not in the clio :)
I've got this idea..
I want blue dials and red needles. Am I right in thinking I can do this by changing the leds for white ones and then using red and blue filter paper/foil to get the change that I want?
I haven't seen the inside so I don't know if this is a possibility or impossible to do.
