Crushing Cars For Having Decat??

I Went Into A Shop Today To Order A Decat For my 172, And the Guy Behind the till phoned one of his suppliers, then came off the phone and said they had stopped making them as some police forces had started crushing cars found not to have a cat.

anyone shed some light on this?

sounds like a load of b*llocks to me but nothing surprises me in this 'save the environment' day and age. however, i think a fine is more likely. if they notice at all.

SOunds more like a exajourated story more lilly it was an untaxed car without a cat being driven on the road illegally and was crushed.
