simple answer, lets start a campaign to bring back hand guns and create a 'deadly force' law then if anyone endangers your life (by life i mean your car! haha), give them a warning of 'i am armed and in fear of my life' which is like lighting the blue touch paper! haha then give them the good...
as everyone has said, get hold of H&R, most companies offer a 'rebuild service' i had a full set done by AVO on my old fiest 2.1 ZVH, cost circa £200 for full new internals, seals and boots etc..
definately suggest pro-clean, ive had a fair few sets of alloys refurbed by them, always a top job and pretty quick turnaround,. my last set was a set of BMW 18's multi spokes, they painted the inner rims and gave it a diamond cut polished rim, they looked the nuts! would defo go there again and...
i think the silver will look good, or i did see one with gloss black and that looked surprisingly good! the old cliche of red is always a safe one, or something a little different. (controversial comment coming...) i did see one with electric pink! and it looked awesome! strange i know but it...
what models will they make them for? i.e. mk1, 2, a rough estimate of prices would also be good to give people an idea what they are getting into i.e. 10 people for carbon bonnet, mk2 phase 2 = £200, 20 people = £180 etc... i think you will find a better response if you put something like that...
thats a fair price to be honest, some places charge upto £150! depending on what prep work is required, wouldve thought materials would cost upwards of £30-40! although i dont see why you dont do it yourself, always a bit of fun and not too hard! ;o)
a friend of mine had a bump in his clio and ive been round to have a look. its nothing major but the rear panel (drivers side) under the bumper which is directly in the corner, wraps around to the rear arch and upto the tailgate frame on the back of the car and joins to the boot floor. its...
ah well, the important thing is that you are now back on the road and able to drive etc... the alternative would be to get a stainless and live without your car for a few days, this would mean you would have to seek alternative transport i.e. public  or hire car, so when you factor...
280quid fitted for a custom isnt bad at all? how much did you end up paying for the original exhaust? ive got a Stealth stainless and its gorgeous! love the clean lines at the rear with no exhaust hanging low or poking out its rather sexy ass! haha :rasp: just remeber that nearly all stainless...
this topic keeps popping up every month or so and there have been some really useful and helpful insights into the topic so if you did a search it would throw up loads of good stuff.
in summary, Cat D's and Cat C's are all relative. An insurance company can classify any car as anything it...
with regards to the USA comment, slighty harsh but i know what you are getting at. I'm over here (US) at the mo, and we are also suffering petrol increases beyond anything they have ever paid before. granted, they still only pay $3 per Gallon (yes gallon, not litre!!) which is roughly GBP1.74...
just wondering what people thought of the decat fora mrk2 172 cup? ive looked into the sports cat and im pretty tempted by it although it is pretty pricey for what it is, especially when its something that will eventually need to be replaced. Whats the craic with decats for the mark 2? ive heard...
get them to check the injectors, most injectors on the clio sport range are generally very noisey and give a 'hydraulic tappet' kind of sound, which can worry some drivers! its perfectly normal, not everyones problem will be down to this, but im sure a good few are. my 172 cup sounds like that...
haha once again a comedy thread out of a genuine and honest post from a member merely wishing to share his experiences. he wasnt asking for 'respect' or saying 'look at me, mr big b****cks' he was just sharing an experence which fellow like minded members may appreciate. so all the negativity...
ok so getting a good vibe about the FK range of coilovers, whats peoples opinions on fixed dampening and adjustable? is it really worth it? my old AVO's were almost infinately adjustable it seemed which really gave me too much choice! haha
oh and is anyone taking some off their car to return to...
just looking at getting some coilovers when i return from working in the USA, i loved them on my old 2.1ZVH throttle bodied fiesta, handled like a go kart! awesome fun! they were AVO's by the way just in case people were wondering. had them refurbed too, their service was immaculate and very...
I agree that 'txt language' can be a total ballacher to read and actually takes way more effort to read than standard english so it kind of defeats the object of being faster to write, as it takes twice as long to decipher! haha but at the end of the day, if he gets the information required...
could simply be due to the long standing and infrequent use, i.e. the engine emissions may be out slighty and is showing up and being noticed by the ecu. i very much doubt that a simple blip of hte throttle would cause much damage if any at all
run your fingernail across the disc surface and feel for any ridges or ruts in the disc, its quite common to have a stone or something small trapped between the pads and the disc and it can grind into the disc making an un nerving sound! either take them off to get them out or simply wait until...
sounds like the coolant temp sensor wasnt reading the coolant temp, therefore yeah it can keep it on full choke. did your heaters work on hot? if not then it could possibly a water pump issue, or fingers crossed it could just be too much coolant and a very efficient rad and fan not letting it...
the rear end shunt wont be too bad or else it wouldve been classed as a cat c, i.e. repairs deemed to be more expensive than the previous (undamaged) market value of the car, so if there is bumper damage, dent removal, maybe a panel change plus all paint and labour then at full dealer repair...
right, ive just this second got back from the rolling road place and speaking to my mate regarding my BMW E39 and the possibility of the cliosport.net rolling road day. hes more than happy to organise something and has had experience doing a few V6's, i will be giving him my clio when i return...
the newer rolling roads are equiped with new software and technology which allows them to more accurately work out the % transmission loss rather than using a standard equation and 'guessing' using general figures, i.e. 15-20% as quoted
right, (mods is it possible to make this a 'sticky' until its sorted?)
after talking with a few people on here it seems that there is quite alot of interest in a rolling road day for the cliosport members. after speaking with a friend of mine he gets his brand new (and flipping...
