Beauty of a car fella, and local too will have to meet up some time! When I spotted the Cosworth logo I was like "hang on, thats near me" lol, then went straight for your Avatar's location! :D
Think I may have seen you in passing up near Tesco Mereway......have just moved down to Far Cotton...
They don't do Cups......:S
Strange......thats very high, is yours rocket powered or something???
I'm 26 with 6 years NCs....I'm sure it shouldnt be that high. Then again it depends on the random art of insurance. I had quotes of £1400 from several other performance/modified 'specialist'...
Have been looking for quotes as my renewal has been coming up, adrian flux saved me in the region of £300 compared to any other 'highstreet' or 'performance' insurance.
Very impressed indeed!
Especially like the sound of the cover to my modified parts, which they will do like for like...
Was digging around on LaunchUK's website and found a little guide on reseting the service icon on a Mk 3.....I own a Mk 2 so is no use to me but if someone wants to give it a go.......!?!
This is my plan....just bought a house with a huge double garage/workshop. Will be buying a little MX-5 to drive around in for the summer....and in the mean-time strip/bucket/play with/fully service/re bush and revamp the suspension (98.5k car) on the Cup.
Tempted to do look at forced...
Saw it on tv last night....my Mrs wondered why I got all excited when I saw that lovely white 200 roll on screen......she saw the renault badge and rolled her eyes at me, meh haha. Advert made me chuckle too. 200s are starting to grow on me, think I was put off by the alien green ones when they...

I've even done the hard work for you.....loads going for cheap monies!
It is different, had mine replaced through my insurance couple of years ago. If they ask you, it has no sun-reflective-coating (you can apparently work it out as the coating either gives the glass a purple or green tint, cup's glass looks clear from the inside).
Not sure if it is thinner, I...
I agree.
Thats about the same speeds that I wrote off my 1 litre K reg polo (first car now 9 years ago). Driving in really thick fog at about 30 on dual carrigeway, unknown road too. Came out into a clearing of the fog to find a roundabout 12 feet away, no time to react so prob doing 25ish...
Good good, lovely colour! My front diamond is that colour.......and I have quite a few rattle tins of it left and a stone chip repair pen set.....was thinking of doing my bullets with a fresh coat of silver or white then pen on the broom yellow for the 2.0 16V lettering. WIN imho! ;)
Mine had a similar issue, was related to the 'fly by wire' throttle body's electronics starting to die. Think it was to do with inconsistent TP sensor readings being fed to the ECU. Mine gradually got worse and worse until it would kick into Limp several times a journey. replaced the throttle...
From my point of view where different from the norm=good and by the way I have styled my car (LINK).......I think yours looks great. Yellow=win imo, esp on black/blue cars. Mine has more white going on vs my mondial blue but I like it.
Quite amusing how many dont approve of mine, but as you...
Yep, mine are slippy when I first get in the car on a damp/rainy day. Normally rub my feet about a bit on the floor mats before setting off to attempt to dry them off but yes it is slightly annoying.
Liking the idea of grip tape........hmmm....
I would assume (IMO and the way I fitted mine) that the strutbrace is in place to stop the movement upwards and inwards with respect to the engine bay as a centre point for reference.
The ends of the strut brace for mine (KTR chromed one) are half circles pointing outwards so I would logical...
Cheers fella! I'll take that as a compliment....
I'm starting to think stickers off (anyone would think people dont like them ;)) then carbon wingmirrors and other accessories........change of direction but I am thinking the more stealthy look might be the way to go......
Cheeky ;) they...
Mine are starting to stiffen a little already I think (could be wrong though).
Still very impressed, really do with a proper setup though as I think the front cambers are a little uneven so it feels happier going round corners to the right than it does the left. Still fantastic compared to...
FYI: Stickers on the rear bumper (bar the yellow/silver checkers) will all be coming off including the interior glass ones, the ones on the door pillar/glass will be off soon too, however I like all the front ones.....well for now anyway.
'Renault' and 'Sport' badges will be removed and...
No, certainly not at the back at all and only fractionally when decelerating and turning when approaching roundabouts at the front. I maybe heard it twice and while I was out and about, probably crossed a dozen at least during the evening.
That may increase as the springs settle and bed...
Me too, very noticeable, corners practically flat.
My rears are on the lowest setting they will go.....and:
Erm, had 3 in the back last night also 1 passenger and myself in the front.
Errrr.......generally if I didnt have a deep splitter and the centre section of my exhaust didnt hang down...
With mine I tend to drive on smaller B roads all week to and from work, where the road quality is generally uneven and poor. I do not intend to lower the car any more as it needs to be practical to drive. I have noticed the slight (not known to be accurate in my case) camber I set it up with...
I'm also interested in recommended settings as I have just fitted some of the Raceland Coilovers and will be looking to getting them properly set up once they have settled.
I set the fronts of mine up yesterday with about 45 'threads' an had quite a lot of scrubbing on the fronts when turning. Adjusted them today and now have them sat with 56 threads, no scrubbing (after reading on here about the bracket bumps inside the wheel arch I removed before fittin my...
