Brun dont weld it in place, makes a very difficult job if you want any engine work doing. The best way is to bolt the brace down with nuts and bolts. You may well have to drop the suspension legs but its far more secure than body bolts. The reason for fitting a strut brace is to lessen movement...
We place the filter asclose to the t/b for best performance , Moving it away will lessen response. To improve the air to the filter we now sell an under bumper scoop which helps.

cse give me a ring and I will explain the differences and which would be your best route for a given buget as there a few options open to you .Also got an idea to run by you.
The unit has got a bit of a wiring loom attached and is still connected to what is left of the Clio 16v wiring loom it came of.Pretty sure it would need mapping for you car but you should be able to get it done at a unichip dealer.

Gaining a little does not usually cost to much Gaining a lot from a n/a engine will. Before deciding what mods and power you want you should work out you buget the look for the mods to fit.
The diesel crank (same stroke as williams) has a longer throw than the 16v, the extra capacity of the 2.0l is achieved by increasing the bore from 82 to 82.7 and the stroke (throw) from 83.5 to 93 . A shorter stroke crank shaft will rev higher than a long stroke which is why formula 1 engines...

Your problem might not be a serious as you think When you say that there is oil on both ends of the plug as Red16 has said this indicates the problem is not inside the cylinder. We have seen many 16v engines like this and have found the problem to be simply the rocker cover gasket leaking or not...
The fact that you say your gearknob does not sit central indicates the problem to be with the selector shaft out of line. Near the front of the rod is a bolt holding a clamp if you undo this the shaft(and knob) can be moved and realigned . That should also fix the baulking into first and second.

There are some differences. The angle and position of the manifold relative to the head are different, the position of the air by bass vale intake is also different as are the positions of some of the vacum inlets You would not be able to swap from one to another in the same car. Got both in...
A lower temp thermostat will only lower the operating temp of the engine not turn the fan on any sooner. If you want the fan on at a lower temp you will have to replace the fan switch in the radiator which is situated half way down the rad on the drivers side and has a black wiring plug to it...
From how you describe the wire and its location and the fact you say there is only 1 wire (yellow) going to your rad switch I would assume its for the fan control. There is only one other red wire in that area and thats for the alternator output but that is quite a thick wire. If the wire is for...
Nick The main differences are in the chip to set fueling ignition etc . Runing a unichip will have basically the same effect. I have a second hand Dastek unichip and wiring for sale that we took of a clio. Give me a ring make me an offer.
Nick. Piper bp270 cams for the 1764cc engine are slightly different to the Williams std cam but not a lot. If you want a wilder cam for your engine you will have to scource cams from a Williams and have them reprofiled. The megane head is different from the 1764 engine It runs 32mm valves but...
The whole idea of fitting braided hoses is to increase the hydraulic pressure to the brake cylinders. Braided hoses have an inner made from nylon pipe this has very little expansion with pressure so therefore the braking effect can all go to the wheel calipers. Std hose is made from rubber so...
