Hi all,
I've got myself a car which, while only 3 years old, has suffered from a previous owner who clearly used dirty car washes and brushed past his car with zip pockets. The result is almost all panels apart from the roof have annoying, but very shallow surface scratches.
The car is...
That's a nice motor, is it 160bhp TDI? Have you remapped it? My misses had a 100bhp TDI Polo which was torquey as hell, I can only imagine how quick this thing must be in 5th at 60
Even though its not as nice as the concept version, it'll still look better than most other cars on the road. Loving the engine bay...a company that realises a matt black engine cover doesn't exactly look evocative.
Ah, zzb that was a while ago :) Its out-lasted the mk2 very easily...shame, I really liked the 255.
Keep buying bikes at the moment though, clearly something wrong with me (given the time of year!).
Lots of respect Beefmeister, I think spending that £10k is well worth it and seeing that V12 Lambo sitting on your drive makes me want to join tomorrow! What I find impressive is that you've had 38 days of different cars...I always thought it'd work out to be about 12 or something silly. Are...
Pretty sure my mk1 was Iceberg, preferred the titanium though.
Carbon bonnet is a terrible idea unless you have a track-spec V6. The front end is already too light.
From an under-powered sports convertible to a torque-lacking hot hatch that hasn't come good yet? Nah, get a 350Z convertible (or hardtop if you're bored of the sun), that'll put a smile on your face.
If I were you, I wouldn't - not enough benefit (on a non-sport model) vs. the likelyhood of a fine .Having said that, they do look better (but ONLY if you keep the legal font).
The difference with the Nissan is that you can actually put the power down from standstill without melting the clutch and spraying gearbox oil over the engine bay ;)
Imo, the 350z is the quicker car - but only by a gnats c**k.
In my experience the V6 was quicker in a straightline and around corners, but that's down to me liking the far better grip a mk2 V6 has over a 182. In the real world, the two cars will be fairly similar, but then you could say that about almost anything. I had a play with an E46 M3 t'other day...
