Detailing has certainly gained a status of late - I think mostly due to plimsole/tight trouser/one direction/vw boys who instead of actually doing nuts and bolts like a proper car owner - imurse themselves in cleaning the car, and although can make a car look great, it's just not my era....
Yeah, tricky really, hense my asking....
Not sure whether to stick with them, or get T1Rs in the 50 profile which i can get for £124 for all 4.
Shame to waste these though, but as you say - im unsure of the negative effects they 'might' have.
Need a tyre guru :(
Chaps,
Ph1 172. Lightly modified.
Obviously, standard we use 195/50/15s - but I got given a nearly new set of Bridgestone Potenza RE01-R' in 55 profile - Which got fitted.
They grip nicely, and wear well. So quite pleased.
Now comes the time i look at my suspension, handling etc - Eibach...

Think anyone would be interested in a deal with a ph2?
People do loose things sometimes, I'm a nightmare for it. If he's only sent it off for a change of address the logbook will be back with in 2 weeks.
Don't presume the worst. Just use your noggin.
As said above, probably 2nd hand engine for £300 - get the belts done at the same time +£100
So £400 + what the car costs you.
Thats if you dont encounter more problems.
Agreed tbh, shes done 200 miles now and still looking good, but would be nice having some more shoulder on the pulley for peace of mind. It was more of an experiement if anything, but seems ok.
It really needs an idler between the alternator and the new pulley as i dont like the belt run legnth.
