Might be bett if you can explain exactly when it happens? More often when you are driving on motorway etc? Or in traffic?
There is only a few realistic things it can be.
This is a follow on from my other thread really.
http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?665154-Cheap-air-con-delete-90-done-today
Thought I'd start this new tidier thread for everyone to see.
Some of you know we had a little play with the air con on my 172 I.E. removing it. Not one...
Result.
Got this finished today and all is good. Belt it straight and true, idler sits there nice and comfortably. Road test fine and you can feel a definate difference, engine feels more lively. Really chuffed with this.
Ill try and get a few pics or even a vid up later.
Ive got all part...
Lol at this entire wingeful thread.
If some mild kerbing is all you've got to worry about in life, f**k knows what's gonna happen to you when your marriage breaks down/wife cheats on you/you contract a terminal illness. Whatever.
Give your mum a break.
Man the f**k up.
I can to be honest agree with your paranoia as the car will obviously be a pretty penny. Trust the hpi check, take someone who knows bodywork with you.
Sometimes people do get rid so soon, regret of purchase, want out of the hpi etc. Its not unheard of.
Just tread carefully, make your own...
This.
Even though I work at a factors and can pick up these filters for less than a pound, I still use Renault oil filters.
On your everyday 1.6 Ford Focus non genuine I would say yes, but on a highly strung clio doing over 7000rpm regularly, and which is obviously going to get driven hard -...
That was my one last concern - the belt run length.
I don't like it too much either, but a good and correct alignment should suffice.
Time will tell...
I think you will find FRAM are actually o.e. on these filters, so go and see your local motor factor who does FRAM, and you will be getting the same filter.
Yes I have cut them open to have a look too lol
Been thinking about doing this for ages now (not long after I bought it). So today we had a little crack.
Removed the a/c rad whilst doing a coolant rad change the other day, so that and the pipes were gone - just the heavy a/c compressor that remained. After a little research I did not want to...
All true.
So so far we have
Engine sound deadening
Boot sound deadening
A/C system
Spare wheel
Took Kit
Lighter exhaust/Wheels
Isnt there a mystery weight under the gearbox mount too? Poss rear wiper motor (not sure if that really weighs very much...)
I was thinking about removing drivers...
This is a topic I'm very interested in. I want to save a little weight around the car but still retaining the 'car' feel I.e. I don't want the whole stripped out type lark.
Would love to know people's stealth weight savings around these clio's, so far mine are minor which just consist of...
Almost exactly as you say - although I use a v belt pulley in place of the stock smooth idler next to the ac pump, not fitted up yet - job for the weekend! I'll post up any info etc.
Yeah she is a top car, and in great nick! I just don't fancy mucking around with the interior, I,d like to keep...
Cheers guys.
Ive just obtained some nearly new 182 genuine Renault shocks all round for the pricely sum of £13 lol. I'm wanting to combine them with Eibach Sportlines, and some minor camber adjustment, as well as mild poly bushing for a good fast road and light track feel, do you guys feel...
Evening gents,
Thought I would introduce myself, this forum is one of the busiest around that I've been on with lots of great info, so should stick around!
Anyway, ive come from a mainly vauxhall/Jap background - always a bit scared off by the 'french' thing, but my latest car was the pulsar...
