I'm from Hull.
Here's a couple of the pics of the Vectra, I do miss it lol. Spent lots of time, effort and money on that car. It was my pride and joy.
Was gutted to see it go but really wanted something more fun to drive.
Thanks :)
It is very tidy, the bodywork is immaculate. Got the...
Thanks for the welcome guys, much appreciated.
_Nero_ - thanks for the tip on the clutch, will give that a go :)
Good info about the clutch being heavy, I knew it would be. I've been driving around in my girlfriends 1.2 Expression for the last week or so which obviously is fairly different...
Been on here for a month or so now, after looking for a nice 172/172 Cup.
Loads of good info on here, good place to do some research.
Anyway, picked up a 172 Cup yesterday........ I'm loving it.
Its awesome to drive, handles, sounds, feels amazing.
Had a 2000 Vectra GSi that was tastefully...
Sorry to hear that mate.
Had my old car, Black vectra gsi keyed only a month ago. managed to get rid of most of it but without getting it painted again you can still see it :(.
But sold the car last week, it was my pride and joy though
They did my girlfriends clio and 2 other cars on our...
I believe its 3 owners, current owner hasnt had it long as he now has a work van which he uses all the time so cant justify paying for the car, I dont think hes a full on car enthusiast, but I believe the owner previous to him had it for 3.5 years and kept it immaculate. Seems no expense has...
My thoughts exactly mate.
it really does look sooo clean and tidy. Not the lowest of miles at 57k but still pretty good for a 7 year old car.
The wheels look immaculate, he said one of the fronts has a very small ding and even sent me a picture...its miniscule.
Hopefully going to see it...
thanks for the replies guys.
basically the car was up for 4700. Which does seem a lot.
judging from photos, history and the apparent condition of the car, it seems absolutely mint.
he wont go any lower than 4400.
Am I right to pay this for a 52 plate 172 cup? A very good one though.
I...
I've got my sights set on a 172 cup and have hopefully found one.
Its a 52 plate, with 57k. Cambelt done 1k ago, full service history.
Judging from the pictures and from speaking to the owner, the car is immaculate. Totally standard, 4 brand new tyres and a years MOT.
If this is allowed (?)...
Cheers Scott.
Think I'm pretty set on a cup now. I've heard so many good things about them. They look so much better and sounds like they drive it too.
Just need to get rid of my Vectra now and find a decent 172 cup. Anyone got a nice one for sale lol?
I really want a cup now.
Plans would be to fit some nicer seats though, other than that they look so much better than the FF 172's and sounds like they go so much better too :)
Just need to find a good one
Wow thanks for the responses guys!
Seen a couple of 172 cups with FF interiors, looks good, and as for aircon I could live without it.
Really need to drive one.
Another thing, whats the tax like on them? And how many of them are around?
Are they 52-53 plate only?
Hmm really liking the 172 cup, and it seems to be a bit cheaper. Like the interior in the 172 FF tho, is it possible to get hold of a half leather interior and fit it into a cup?
I know it kinda defeats the object of the Cup but the Cups look so good
Any thoughts?
Cheers guys.
hopefully might have sold my car so I may be on the look out for a nice 172/182
Cant decide yet wether to look at a 172 and save a bit of cash for a few mods etc. Or get a 182 with both cup packs? Is there much between them?
Really like the look of the 172 cups too but I'd miss...
thanks for the replies guys...
Rockford - very helpful post, funnily enough a cupra r is another car I've been looking at lol. Comparing it to the vectra, I'm pretty sure it'l be a fair bit quicker. Mine is a 2000 x plate, the V6 is a great engine, just a bit lazy, takes a while to get there...
Hi all, new to this forum, looks like a very helpful place so thought I'd join up.
I dont have a clio at the moment, infact I've got a V6 Vectra GSi, but I'm looking at getting something smaller and quicker. A clio is right up there on the list.
The vectra being a big and heavy car (but it...
