Gotta love the 99ron, only 90.9 round my way, and as the ole lady shops there, 5p discount off every litre. so filling tre car up is cheaper than filling with standard unleaded :P Although heard that to make up the octane levels in the tesco'99ron they used some biochemicals or some sh*te. :/
Right after suffering horific noise for ages, going to get the rear bearings done, can anyone tell me what bearings I need? Standard setup on a Mk1 172. Told the bearing need to be pressed out, not really in the know how anyone advise??
Hmm got me thinking, how much you charge brazo, cos I could be tempted to have the Mk1 gone over. BTW, you are the washing God. saw some of your posts on that forum....all I can is WOW :p
Right well after sticking 40mm apex springs and turinis on my Mk1 172, im getting terific road noise thru the car. Like wuring sound gets so loud at differnt speeds, 40mph, 80mph, found 65mph was bearable. Now bearings were checked a lil while ago and were fine, so is this down to the tyres...
Took around 2hr30 inc time to go get the right tools for lowering my Mk1 172. Me and old man never done springs, so was quite fun. But I would suggest having the whole day, just incase of any problems. And don't do it on sunday when half the bloddy shops are clossed and have to go to Halfrauds :/
You would pressume wouldn't you...but sometimes being Renault, they do like to suprise. Anyone else clarify(sp)?
Also just trying to find out my paint code, MV647, am I correct in this being titanium??
If you want to improve vocals then I would suggest getting a set of Rainbow SL230 Deluxe comps. Will set you back around £120, but the quality of these speakers is just amazing, better to amp em too.
Fromwhat Ive learnt one of the best set ups is to have decent front comps running off one...

Right got myself a set of Apex 40mm springs for my Mk1 172. Was speaking to mobile mechanic I use, as had to change my throttle cable, and he reckons it would cost be about £50 per front wheel and around £50 for the rear. I told him that from what I heard off here that the 172s dont need the use...
