They were a bit old school and didn't have the facility to do a printout they had basic tracking guages. Used them for a while tho and really helpful
Fitting the shocks I did one at a time. Axle stands, removed old shock . Placed new one in top mounts. Bolted up at the tip and then lifted axle...
i have put powerflex rear shock mounts on also as i found one of the mounts was missing when i took old shocks out and i found out after that you can't buy them unless you buy oem shocks from renault lol
rear shocks are brand new from euro. was needed to pass mot i had last Thursday. interestingly the nearside shock was very easy to fit the threaded rod that comes through the body had plenty of meat for me to put nut on but the offside was very difficult having no thread to catch, i ended up...
ye, driver was fine walking about in the car park.
for me i was going so slow third would have got me no power coming out of it. maybe 3rd is right :)
very lucky, was propably less then a foot away, would have been a bit devastated if it did hit the wall with all the effort i've put into it!
it is if your going too fast! haha. his confidence was slightly knocked after that spin and seeing another clio earlier on in the day having a bad crash, rolling onto it's roof, he's a bit worried for next track day lol. spin hasn't phased me at all, looking forward to next track day.
also i let my mate drive my car at the end of the day , on his second lap going into the last corner he asked what gear to do this in, "second i said", followed by him saying "i'm going to do it in 3rd", obviously going to fast this happened.
pulled in at the end and that's when the car...

bought my Clio 172 ph2 3 years ago for £400, cam belt had snapped. never even done an oil change before never mind putting an engine in a car! 3 years later, with a years break to work on my house, I've done my first ever track day at...

i just googled litres per mile to mpg conversion and it came back with 28.37
so is 31mpg pretty standard or is that still a bit low? i was just shocked i used half a tank on the indicator. i thought the tank was 50 litres though and 15.37 litres is only about a 1/4 of a...
typo on the ron , has always been 99!
to clarify i filled up before the trip to wrexham £48 35.92 litres with 99 ron
i've just filled up again, after the trip, and put in 15.34 litres of 99 ron again, i even used the same pump as this morning.
120 miles ish, i'll go lower to 115 to be sure @...
Hey all ,
I think I have an issue with my 172. Just recently out back on the road after 4 years, booked oultan park on Tuesday so took a drive down to demon tweeks to get a helmet. Filled up the tank with 99 Ron before I set off. Foot was down getting to 70 wherever I stopped so 15 times maybe...
well failed again with 2 new things but didn't fail on coil springs or tyres so happy with that.
windscreen washer jets not powerful enough
unable to open bonnet
was nothing wrong with the bonnet opening, put the battery in that morning . tested washer jets, they aren't blocked the motors just...
booked the car in for another mot at the same place, again due to convenience, with the intention of disputing the previous mot failures. i went on holiday for a week so missed the 14 retest period. Ended up having an argument with the MOT tester , showed him the paragraph on the government...
recently had an mot and one of the things its failed on is rear exhaust silencer
Rear Exhaust has a major leak of exhaust gases (6.1.2 (a))
and one of the advisories was the exhaust is hitting the axle.
rear exhaust fouling body
i bought a new exhaust silencer and fitted that this...
