As Roamer said, they all had the silver rim.. We compared Lous wheels to Leighs brand new Renault wheels at the southend meet, and the gold match is 99% perfect, and the silver rim you couldnt really tell the difference. Renault want £230 each for them, and to get all 4 of Lous done was £50...
Agreed Lepsons all day long. Seen two sets of williams wheels done here, and they are perfect, match the gold to brand new willy wheels from renault exactly and even recut the silver rim unlike most. £40 each wheel, you wont be dissapointed ;)
Ive looked at 6 williams 3s trying to find one ( no luck yet )and although not been up to my standard condition wise, they have ALL been perfect round the sunroof, was expecting to find some of them bent, but no probs on any yet.
Ive been looking for a mint williams 3 for months, looked at 7, still looking, bad resprays, scratches, dinks, rust is the main problems ive found, and ive been looking at high priced ones too.
Sorry to hear that matey..
Pukka Bodyshop - Main road body repairs in South Woodham Ferrers - 01245 320177 seen their work many times, and the paint match you get is totally perfect.
Did i see you are from Billericay in another post ? im about 10 mins from you. close to brentwood, might see...
Open the door and get on your hand and knees, look at the very bottom of the door, on the inside skin, not the panel you see outside. There are holes at the bottoms of the doors and they rust around them. Seen some quite bad rust here.
Just out of interest, whats the mileage etc of your...
I thought he crashed in the 80s and hasnt been able to drive since ???? this would mean he couldnt have written off the first williams as they werent made then:confused:
Me and Louise went to look at the one on the south coast yesterday, you said about flaking paint, we found it had been fully resprayed, laquer marks on every panel and it only said Williams on the side, no 3 badges. Had a couple of awkward panel gaps too. He did warm it up though unlike alot of...
First williams was 93 L reg, not many of these though i dont think.
Eves,
your quote seems alot mate ?? Im 21 in a few weeks and have 2 yrs ncb, been quoted under £1200 comp on a willy 3, and about £1000 on a willy 1 comp.
Do you have less ncb or do you live in a risky area ?? my quotes...
Its just beacuse it is older i think, when i was getting quotes on my Fez turbo, if it was a 1990 instead of a 1991, then it was a hundred or so pounds cheaper to insure.
( Louise here posting under Marks sign in)
LOL yeah. Had that car a few months ago, was old shape, and I actually loved the car. Brilliant spec... air con, 1/2 leather, leccy sunroof etc :D
Had mine done at Elite a few weeks ago, Cost £19.95. Got printout of all the before and after figures, caster, camber, toe, total toe, thrust angle, + loads of other stuff lol it didnt take that long, and it drives absolutely perfect now. Pukka job.
Cheers for the comments Viv/Mikey/Daz :)
Cheers for posting that pic lou, your car is looking good as ever ;)
Mikey, the engine is standard apart from 4" mongoose s/s exhaust, k&n and 165 superchip running 13.5 psi - 160bhp.
Carl you stole my wheels lol :o
:D
Not normally speed cameras on the a127, only in the limited sections 40 zones etc. But on sat night the police hide in the bushes with mobile cameras, early evening they are on the way into southend then later change over to the other side to catch you when going home.
Sounds like the 3.0 clio aswell, the ones ive seen you can see the glue/bonding stuff used to fix the arches on coming out the gaps where they are fixed on the normal clio panels.??
Depends on insurance group of the car, if the car is above about group 12 (16v clio is 12) then to be added to your parents policy is hundreds, maybe thousands, as they are not stupid as to what people try to do.
For an example i needed a run about car over winter and to be added to my mums...
Hummmmmm must have been one of those rare days when it got a polish :o ;)lol na, looks well nice Lou.
Wonder how long it will last this time before breaking again :D
The engine oil protects the engine from wear, its optimal protection temp is around 80 degrees C, so any ragging before this and the wear on the metal components in the engine accelerate, meaning it will become knackered sooner....
