Renault managed to look at the diagnostics yesterday and it revealed 3 intermittant faults.
1. Fuel pump relay fault - - RAC man disconnected inertia switch and cleaned the contacts while the engine was running...

I did a search... lots about coil packs, but not how to change them!
Mine is playing up so i need to change it.
Is it as easy as it looks... e.g. unclip wires, unscrew old coil pack, throw at wall, screw new coil pack in place, replace wires?

Just bought a new digi cam, there aren't many manual settings, but it does have ISO up to 1600 so was hoping i would be able to get some good night shots.

yeah that is useful... if you enter POI's (i have for some mates houses) by entering it on the unit itself, the next time you update POIs they get wiped off!!!! and you loose people's addresses :mad:
with that method you can just make a CSV file on your computer full of addresses then never...

well i bought it anyway... uploading poi's tonight.
have only driven back from work but i understand why people are raving about these things. brilliant. no problems viewing the small screen either. AND it runs for 6 hours from batteries so can use it on a motorbike in the top of a tank bag...
Thinking of getting a garmin i3 tomorrow... comes with a 256mb memory card pre-loaded with uk/ireland maps...
does anyone know what filesize the map updates are - does it just add to whats on there... or is it going to be a 128+mb download every time?

hmmm wonder how hard it would be to mould that part from fibreglass and cover with alcantara.... or even carbon fibre but the mould and curing process would have to be decent quality...
i heard that they only have one clamp... so if you see someone with it on you can park whereever you like... at one point last year ANY uni swipecard would open the barriers too!

the sensor is wired to the plugs on the back of the dash display. perhaps check the contacts?

the black and brown wires where that thermistor is plugged in. though i doubt there is a problem there! it is very solid on my car. this may shed more...
