Cheers chaps. (Planet X, Clart & AndyRS) Just looked at the EXIF data and sure enough, I had it set to F34. Now I know why and how to possibly capture similar images???? I do like the effect but had no idea of the reason.
As I have said, I am a newbie and have a great deal to learn about the...
Got the dreaded dust after just a week of ownership! :(
Something new to learn now, how to remove it safely without damage!
Any tips welcome.
Also, can't afford the 18 - 200 VR at the moment. (£400 ish)
Used the kit lens (Nikon 18 - 135 F3.6)
Shutter Priority

Exposure time 1/2 second
Exposure bias -2 step
Focal length 90mm
Metering mode = spot

I am still a novice but I was quite pleased with the result. More practice needed!!!
Great camera and I don't think I'll be looking...
Finally took the plunge after several weeks of trying to make up my mind!
I am now a proud owner of a Nikon D80.
Purchased the D80 with the kit lens (18 -135 F3.6), Tamron 55 - 200 F4.6, 8G Sandisk memory card extreme III, 2 polorising filters for the lenses, IR remote control, 1 Lowepro bag and...
Good job mate. Just to make sure you have done it correctly. On the photo below, did you pull the grey part away from the switch body as far as possible? Did you fully depress the clutch pedal before fitting the switch back into position? Did you hear the clicking/ratchet sound when you slowly...
Could be a faulty CC switch, does the switch actually stay in the on position or has it flicked back to off?
Another could be the brake or clutch switches out of adjustment.
Both switches are easy to reset. Remove the switches under the dash by the pedals and twist by about 90 degress...
Common problem when brakes get wet. Nothing to really be worried about just a characteristic. Kent Industries supply a product that can be sprayed onto the brake shoes to reduce the problem. Haven't got the info to hand unfortunately.
Possible causes are the heat shield over the CAT or the downstream oxygen sensor wiring vibrating against the heat shield.
Bend heat shield and secure wiring with a cable tie.
More than likely the resistor pack, located under the scuttle panel plastic trim. Wiper blades off, remove the plastic trim, undo 7mm bolt securing resistor, remove and replace. Refit in reverse order.
If it's the manual opening/tilting glass panel, take out the glass and grease the front hinges with a silicon type grease. Should sort it out. If it's an electric roof these are more troublesome to cure and not a quick fix.
My poor ENTRY
Out in the garden this evening watering down the soil ready to lay turf when I had my own private little rainbow from the sprinkler. Not the best shot in the world just a point and shoot and hope for the best.
PM an email address and I will forward the wiring diagram. I will also try and explain how the system works and what voltages/earths you should get at the switch etc.
Check the level first before just topping up. The fluid level should be at the maximum marker after changing pads and discs.
Er past experience???
Renault technician and technical expert for the last 25 years!! ;)
Check your brake fluid level. Also have a look at your front pads as a low brake fliud level could indicate the pads may need changing.
Hope that helps.
2 things spring to mind.
1. It's not uncommon for BOTH dipped beam bulbs to blow at the same time.
2. There is a relay (SLIM BLACK UNIT) on the back of the board under the passenger side dash area that holds the dipped beam relay. This relay can easily be KICKED out of place by a passenger with...
Blown cigar lighter fuse that also powers the radio and clock display. Have you been using the cigar lighter to charge a phone or another device? Does the cigar lighter still work?
Just a guess.
