no. russ is saying that budgets will lock up easier due to lower grip. better tyres will grip more and lock up later.
considering that the wheels are already locking easily, i'd say that uprating braking components is probably a waste of time, why do you need more braking power?
still check...
i wondered when you would find this.
do you know the reason for the rates on carlos' car?
also, did you manage to do that posting? they have been asking about their bits again :D
cool, cheers Phill.
nice to know that i am thinking along the right lines.
i have also always thought that a well setup car actually feels slower then one which is badly setup. i.e. less energy is dissapated and you feel that you are thrown about less inside the car.
this is all something...
i would say yes in this instance, because of the different mounting point.
in the road setup you effectively have the wheel on the end of a lever.
if i had the measurements i could probably calculate the effective difference in the spring rates (given enough time)
Why rear much harder than front when the race cars the other way around?
it just seems to be the most balanced setup, i've tried it every which way and it just seems best to me.
possibly the fact of the different rear setup might have something to do with it. with the seperate spring and...
i'm also interested to read what phill has to say regarding suspension setup. especially regarding height, it is my understanding that the ideal height has more to do with the mounting points and wishbones than the apperance of the car.
from what i understand, the most neutral setup will have...
gutted!
that would have been epic..
mind you, the build must be half the fun of it. i wish i had the knowhow to be building my car.
i may have to get in touch with you about the blower setup, i'll have no aircon when i get mine back from fred.
it should be track only. but it will be road legal, so i can see it getting a fair bit of use.
the engine should be absolutely awesome!! i'll let you know when it is finished if you want to have a go :D
i'd vote for the kw stuff as well, it is my kit that daniel is talking about.

again, far from cheap!!
but as said, it is on another level compared to anything else that i have...
there are a few people with omp cages on here, you have to fabricate a mount for the feet of the main hoop, but otherwise they are pretty good for the price.
definately get in touch with fred.
although be prepared for him to find a load of problems you didn't know about, but that is why he has my car at the moment :approve:
as for the knocking noise, a common cause is the dogbone mount under the engine.
that's right, also probably for a small weight saving too.
you would only be able to use the covers on track though, so if you were wanting to drive to and from a track there would be a fair bit of messing about.
as bazzon has said, it will all depend on the actual condition.
if the engine belongs to who i think it does, it could be worth doing a search on here.
