Some cars you get trouble with others are gems, its luck of the draw. A mate of mine had a mk4 fiesta 1.3 that went on forever, only needed service items such as brakes and shocks. It used to batter up and down the motor way week in, week out and never missed a beat - even when its owner told me...
the work does look good but its not really viable for me due to him needing the wheel and then i'd have to get a spare one so I can drive the car. All the wheels breakers seem to have are over the 100 quid mark which is retrim money anyway.
Just fancied having a go myself as I've seen pics of...
its torn and ripped, and pieces have actually come away so theres a hole in the right hand grip about an inch long. Not really repairable without using a putty or something?
Apart from buying the K-tec version (or whoever makes the carbon ones) or a new wheel where can I get these for reasonable money?
A retrim would be a good but as I use the car a lot its not really viable for me to send the wheel off to be done unless I get another wheel and boss which will be...
Dont think this is a usual one, saw it saturday and forgot about it. Was pulling out onto the compton road by the grammar school about 4pm, was lowered on silver 182 wheels. I was more occupied by the Smokey and the Bandit spec Trans Am that was going the other way
Yeah green roof was the one!
Ive never seen this other inferno on the black country route and I'm up and down it at least twice a day. I have seen one in bilston or thereabouts with a plate "D4 xxx"
As far as I'm aware they are but I cant remember without having a look, they were OEM renault boxed pads though
Sounds like this guy had the same problem:

Anyone else had this? My front pads seem to make a clacking noise in the caliper over big bumps. Only on the offside wheel mind. Drive over the same bump with the brakes on gently to take up the slack and no clacking noise.
Ball joints are good too have checked those
I remember people to call the old metro gtis "valvers", I guess it was because 16v engines were highly prized back in the day over the usual 8v offerings across manufacturers
i've used a stretchy boot, just make sure it fits comfortably at full lock etc, pack with grease fit with jubilee clip. I dont think i'd try one of those sticky boots however where you fit it over the CV then glue up the open side, although people say they have no problems with them
