Well I know several people who have had their seats replaced under warranty for the same reason.

I see no reason why you cannot take them out in the car to show them the problem. Once they have fixed it then no doubt they will need to take the car out and take it over 5k to make sure the problem has gone. I know it is not nice when you think of them ragging your car but unfortunately...

Lee, I know it is not down to part numbers now mate. Just wanted to see if the 182 leather was different which may explain why the replacement 172 leather is different from mine. Maybe it is a different batch and if they order a new one in then maybe it will match. I dunno, this sux anyway !

Cheers mate, it is the leather part I am more concerned about, not the alcantara, I know that is different now, be interested to see.

I noticed it straightaway to be honest but then I am a fussy b*****d ! I reckon that the RenautSport stitching is a slightly different colour too. I will have to get some photos up when I get the chance. I am tempted to ask them to put my old seat skin back on !

My suspicion is that the 172 leather is very smooth and the 182 is slightly dimpled, that is what I am trying to find out anyway ! I would like to find out if the 182 and 172 leather have the same Renault part no too.

I really like the Mondeo and if you are after a car that sort of size then you cant go far wrong with the discount if you want a new car.

Is the actual leather different ? The 182 seems dimpled whereas the 172 leather is smooth ? Are the part numbers the same for the 172 and 182 ?
