As above, basically, i have the KTR/Janspeed standard stainless system. I wish to get a sports cat soon because the olive joint from cat to centre has never ever sealed and i think they are just a totally b****cks idea lol.
On the standard Ktr/janspeed system, can i use the ultra performance...
Get an assistant to apply handbrake and bring clutch to bite with engine on on 1st and see if you can isolate the noise. Never heard of a mount itself squeaking, although it could be the manifold hitting the heat shield, happy hunting :)
Does it do it with clutch engaged low revs under load, e.g accelerate from around1000rpm in 3rd? Is there a rough noise when you turn off that doesn't happen if you turn off with clutch depressed? Possible clutch vibration damper or thrust bearing failure?
Be proactive and take a look, shake engine and check each mount whilst doing so, and see if anything connected to the engine can move sufficiently to touch anything else, if your subframe is bent or you have a bent wishbone it will soon become apparent if anything is bent enough to make a part...
Oh I get it now haha! Well I can assure you that because of a previous, encounter with some rather solid organic matter that was by the road I will be avoiding any funky handling at all costs, might try 30/31.
If you ever fancy viewing some scenery yourself swede, I can tell you first hand that...
Also as a guess to the theory behind it, the bound loaded wheel would create torsion through the bar to be displaced the other side to correct the rebounding wheel, the rubber bush would deflect somewhat, allowing load transfer to be progressive not instant, and that deflection may be Renaults...
I fitted them on my 4 poster, wheels on the deck so the arb was unsprung which was nice. the only pita bit was getting the inner clamps around the new bushes, crowbar, block of wood and a pair of hands helped no end. But I definitely would not diminish the fact these are a royal pain. If I was...
Think I have a case of 'polyplacebo- New oem would have sufficed' syndrome. no major handling improvment, and I'm scared the car will try and kill me if I go for a spirited drive. I don't know if its me being over suspect but I'm sure its a tad understeery and skittish now :( or maybe roads are...
when you say unplugged, did you remove the whole sensor from the plenum? it definatly wouldnt start if so.
leave in plenum just remove wiring plug.
And french aint so bad, 1*2's are a rewarding drive when they are up and running (briefly) ;)
try disconnecting your map sensor, if its brown bread, it can make the car do what your describing + the car will drive 'somewhere' near fine with it unplugged.. (as a proofing of its condition, not a fix)
map is the little black connector on the left of the plenum.
Hi guys,
well we are getting into the new year and as such the local sealed surface trials return for the summer. Not particularly wanting to go balls out in 1st all the time in my daily 182, im going to buy a cheap ass mk2p1 1.4 rt for 200 quid and strip it.
i have a spare k03 in my garage...
I think what some have said on here is quite relavent, if its proven fact that the peak of the graph directly corelates to the radius of a customers smile then you should ask yourself: if its faster and you feel the difference justifies the money you just spent then why would you need a graph!
Shitt! Assuming the trailer didn't drive into her, is she fully comp? It's a matter of the insurance deciding if the pillar is feasibly, legally and economically repairable. It will probably be brought from a write off auction and repaired by a dodgey Indian garage in high wycombe :)
was up on the ramps the other day, had a poke around some bits before it put her on the floor and with a screwdriver between the wishbone and anti roll bar, i could make the bush deflect atleast 6-7 mm is this normal or should i consider replacing.
thanks
what a pile of crap, as previously mentioned why not get rid of your cv joints and put a bloody live axle in the front! similar cornering capability...
got a lot of things to do on saturday, steering rack bushes exhaust engine mounts ect. the dogbone renault supplied comes with no fixtures whatsoever.
can i re use the old nuts and bolts, maybe with a medium loctite, or shall i get new fixtures.
if so, does anybody know what bolts and thread...
i had that exact same issue with my 206 hdi. the official peugeot forum fix was to slacken all of the subframe bolts and re-tighten to said torque. worked a treat..
Payed 1450 at 20. Worth every penny for the grin driving it home. This grin was short lived after getting a lift in an rs4 *insert clarkson comparative analogy here*
