Yeah it is unfortunately, I'm sharing the car with my girlfriend at the moment and she'll veto a cage if we lose the rear seats.
Plus it is useful to be able to put people in the back occassionaly!
I'm looking for a roll cage at the moment but quite fancy being able to use the back seats occasionally.
I hear the SD cage from Mark Fish allows you to use the rears if you take out the cross member / harness bar. Has anyone actually tried this? From the photos it looks like it might limit...
yeah, got them from K-tech, given that I probably won;t be going on track til next time I change them and they're said to be a fair bit better for road than something like a pagid or DS2500.
So far I'm pretty impressed, and will be trying them on the track next seaon just to see what they're...
My new brakes arrived last week, got them fitted and bedded in now...
First impressions were of a slightly soft pedal, but now that they're bedded in, they're fantastic - plenty of bite, easy to modulate on heel-toe and pretty resistant to fade on a few runs up and down a nice mountain pass...
I'm looking at roll cages at the moment in preparation for next trackday season.
I'm quite keen on Sparco's 6 point bolt in - has anyone had this cage fitted?
Please post some photos up of it!
Hi guys, thanks for the advice - why 205/50 rather than 195/45? Remind me, 205 is the width in mm and 50 is sidewall height as a percentage of the width right?
oe are 205 / 45 / 16 so won't 201/50/15 feel a bit squidgy?
probably will look a bit high but the cost and weight advantage of 15's...
Right, ordering my wheels today - pics soon.
They're 15 x 7 with an offset of 41mm and they're going on a 182 FF.
First question, is will there be any rubbing issues (Eibach speedlines)?
Second question, is what size tyres to get for the 15s???
Hi All, I'm just about to order a set of 15's for my 182FF.
The ones I like only come in a 35 offset, anyone have 15x7's with a 35 offset on a 182?
I guess it'll stick out 10cm more than the oe wheels, maybe no bad thing but I'd like to be sure before ordering.
Hi Dave, great looking car - should be a monster on track.
What offset are those 2118's ?
I'm looking to get some 15x7's for my 182 and like the way yours sits.
Right, I've just ordered some new discs and pads from k-tec...
Thing is, how do I know that my existing discs need changing? Pads is pretty obvious of course (change when there's only a couple mm left of brake pad) but how do you tell with discs?
hmmm, starting to wonder if I should've gone for the DS2500's instead.
Nevermind, won't get any track time over the winter anyway, I'll see how they are next seaon and swap them out if they struggle...
Worth a try anyway at under 100 quid front and rear :)
cheers mate - these are DS Performance pads though - not DS2500. Just in at K-tec to replace the EBC redstuffs.
Supposed to be slightly more suited to road driving and a decent chunk cheaper too, anyone have experience with these?
