I would put it up for sale as it is on Pistonheads, it's free if you have registered. Leave it there for a couple of weeks and see if you get any offers. Always be prepared to negotiate. Someone who is looking for a project should be interested. If no joy then think of PX'ing with a dealer...
Not that easily, lots of Cliosport members have trouble removing them insitu especially when they are fitted with Torx screws. Nevertheless the guide should help someone.
Impreza r's are the 2 door models if I remember, classed as import vehicles. Are you sure you declared that it was an import when you took out the policy? As for the chavs buying them now there are a lots off claims now.
As I have had the front bumper removed for other work I decided to change to the way the foglights were screwed in so they can be removed from the front.
In future to renew the foglight unit as a whole or change a bulb the whole front bumper does not have to be renewed, all that has to be...
Space does get tighter in the caliper when fitting new discs and pads. If you are fitting just the pads the the of the pad shouldn't need filing, just file the ends in that case.
Here's the thread with more info http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?t=460091&highlight=ds2500&page=2
It is strange you're asking what -20mm. springs to buy when you have already said you want the original suspension???
But a good mix off both are suggestions on Cliosport and other hot hatch forums are the Eibach springs (very good quality) and OE Renault dampers.
I also was on Cas. Coombe...
I have the standard fitting Pipercross panel filter, only because it keeps the engine bay OE and it is washable. Some types of filter claim gains of a couple of bhp. and ft. lbs. of torque but you can't really feel any difference.
You have to file (I used a mini grinder, much quicker) the ends off about 2mm. per end or just enough so they drop in to the caliper. You may also find they still wont fit in due to a shoulder moulded in the caliper at the piston side, again more grinding is reqd. on the chamfers either side of...
Why don't you do all the work yourself. Ok the cambelt is tricky for the average DIY man, have that done by the Reno boys but the rest is not to difficult.
It's because Nitrogen atoms are larger than other air gasses so don't escape as easily through the rubber.
Nevertheless it's pointless for a road car and you would have to remove all the old air in a vacuum to have 100% Nitrogen filled tyres.
The spring compression on a racetrack corner is going to more than on a road corner, how ever fast you can can corner on a road, the suspension is going to be working harder on the track. I would raise the ride height by an extra 10mm. on what you would think is suitable for the road. You...
Shaking when cold? In past experience with a non Renault car it was the flywheel. also happens on VW group cars as they have dual mass flywheels but I'm not sure if Clios have a DMF. If you are sure all the engine and gearbox mounts are good and no problem with the ignition system I would...
White wheels do go ok with white, black, red and blue body colour but don't look right with light colours such as silver, green & greys.
There was a set for sale recently on the bay, I just missed them.
To be fair to testers, they do test hundreds of different models of cars and cannot be expected to know every idiosynchrosy on each model. As long as you are aware of your cars little foibles just ask the tester to check the Testing Notes as shown in a previous post and the tester will make...
If your renewal notice was printed and sent to you before 31st. Mar it would quote the prices on the old RFL banding. The new banding pricing started on Apr 1st. Some bands have gone up and some down. Mine , Fabia VRS, was due end of Mar and was quoted at £120 but as I was late renewing on...
Good to see a big Clio turnout, I'm with the Skodas for this one as the Cup isn't finished yet. I'll come over for a chat sometime. Look out for me on track with the Skoda session at 2.15. You wont miss me I'll be in the Black VRS with a following black cloud.
I wouldn't use grease on suspension as it slowly rots the rubber parts. On older cars I have always sprayed Waxoyl or other cavity wax on all the suspension and chassis parts. It doesn't rot anything but it does keep everything moist ( I like moist) stops rusting and seized nuts & bolts , an...
If your car is getting on for 70k miles and 7+ years old it should be due for a gearbox oil change.
8mm. Drain plug under the gearbox and filler is a black winged plug half way up the box facing the radiator, just about opposite the bottom hose connector on rad. It's awkward to get to, you...
