Theres too much emphasis on what you can or could buy car wise, if you spend an equivalent ammount to what you are spending on tuning on another car... I think this has more to do with ownership kudos and status symbols...as has been said many "inferior" cars will PISS on FAR more expensive...
whats that to got to do with TB's....increasing the number of throttle plates on an induction system is fundamentaly increasing VE of the whole intake....hence the gain ALL OVER, when they are sized correctly. Sure pulse tuning etc comes into play, but not really for what we are talking about...
I can guarantee if I (or other "tuners" on this site...IF done properly), fitted a throttle body installation, power/torque would definately increase, the engine WOULD NOT run rough, and fuel consumption would only be increased on full load.
When the bodies and ECU are set up to the finest...
no its an electronic limiter...its cuts spark at a preset figure.
The ecu senses the engine is up to temp via the feedback its recieving from NTC2 (coolant temp), and changes from the lower limiter to the higher one.
Well the limit itself will be preset into the ECU depending on operating parameters such as coolant temp.
In terms of "why"...well, for one, bearing oil clearances need to be fully "settled" in order to allow correct circulation and function of oil on the bearing surfaces. Pistons (and rings)...
Yes, in a word!
My turn arounds are always quick...cant stand unfinnished work piling up!

The problem is the shortage of items to keep as stock. Im getting a...

There will always be a gain TBH. The castings are always crap!
There are a couple of people offering this modification...on the scheme of things, its not hard, its not like re-working a head port for example...so its hard to get "wrong". Saying that workmanship often varies, and thats what...
Sorry, yes, these are matched/modified.
I'll chuck some pics up when ive done a few...I lost all data when my old hard-drive decided to throw a hissy fit a couple of months back and lost EVERYTHING...engine pics, holiday pics, p**n etc lol
Hydrogen would make an ideal race fuel. The main problem comes from storage...not in terms of safety, but in terms of practicality and weight for eg. To be stored as a gas it would require 200bar=very heavy tank! Also because its such a low density, the volume required increases, so when you...
