I use the 'Total Protection' Show car kit - it's expensive but the technique is to use *tiny* amounts of it. I've not bought any in Europe, but I got my kit in the US. In a few hours I got these sorts of results: I would, however, recommend only getting Z2 (polish) and Z6 (gloss enhancer)...

A Ph1 172 car I'm looking at has an issue with the central locking. It works from the inside of the car but not with the key fob. To my mind this could just be a dead battery or a dead fob. Any other possible causes and is a new fob mega-bucks?

Why would you ever bargain the price of a car UP? (If you are a buyer!).

Just use filter oil! On some cars filter oil clogs MAF sensors though... I'd buy a decent DRY filter.

Would you use a 'modified' bumper as a bargaining point when discussing the sale of a car? For instance: "It'd cost x to fix this..." Bear in mind that it wasn't in the advert photographs.

Scouring Exchange and Mart (not used them before) and found an "immaculate" 2003 (53) 172 Cup with FRSH, 12m T&T, 62k, 4x new Tyres, Stealth SS Exhaust, 1 owner going for sensible money. And a seller willing to speak to a potential buyer. Going to view it tomorrow. Fingers crossed it turns out...

Get the one you like and suits your needs best! It's a bit like me asking you what I should have for lunch... Both will depreciate at the same rate, but as you have seen for yourself, one is more desirable - to you - than the other. Buy it, keep it tidy and you shouldn't struggle to sell it.

I fitted PowerFlex front bushes to my '02 330 Sport because the stock items were shocking and frequently fail. I had no problems with them at all for 20k miles. I can only assume that a big, 1500kg car reacts to poly bushers differently than a small, 1000kg hatch?

I'm a cash buyer that has only enquired - not offered - on about 5 cars in the last week. Not one of the sellers has returned my emails! From either here or PH. Seriously, WTF?
