I use the 'Total Protection' Show car kit - it's expensive but the technique is to use *tiny* amounts of it.
I've not bought any in Europe, but I got my kit in the US.
In a few hours I got these sorts of results:
I would, however, recommend only getting Z2 (polish) and Z6 (gloss enhancer)...
£295 all in? I've just been quoted £720 for a 72k service (£600 for cambelt +service then £120 for an aux belt - non genuine parts FWIW) by Mike. Surely you're wrong? Or is that the difference between a Cup and a Fatty?
A Ph1 172 car I'm looking at has an issue with the central locking. It works from the inside of the car but not with the key fob.
To my mind this could just be a dead battery or a dead fob.
Any other possible causes and is a new fob mega-bucks?
Would you use a 'modified' bumper as a bargaining point when discussing the sale of a car? For instance: "It'd cost x to fix this..."
Bear in mind that it wasn't in the advert photographs.
I may have a ring around, cheers!
I honestly didn't think it'd be as difficult as you suggest! You learn something new every day!
I'd rather pay someone to do it. Then, if the job looks awful or if it falls apart after a month I can return it for a 'proper' job!
I'm trying to cost up a repair.
The previous owner of the Cup I'm looking at has had a 'Pipecraft' SS exhaust fitted. In order to fit this, 'Pipecraft' have cut a section of bumper away.
Now the modification to the bumper has been done well, but I'd rather have a stock-looking car with a...
Thanks very much! I too was quite surprised!
Incidentally p4cks - did you used to frequent vx220.org? When I had my VXT I seem to recall your username!?!? :)
Scouring Exchange and Mart (not used them before) and found an "immaculate" 2003 (53) 172 Cup with FRSH, 12m T&T, 62k, 4x new Tyres, Stealth SS Exhaust, 1 owner going for sensible money. And a seller willing to speak to a potential buyer.
Going to view it tomorrow.
Fingers crossed it turns out...
Get the one you like and suits your needs best!
It's a bit like me asking you what I should have for lunch...
Both will depreciate at the same rate, but as you have seen for yourself, one is more desirable - to you - than the other.
Buy it, keep it tidy and you shouldn't struggle to sell it.
I fitted PowerFlex front bushes to my '02 330 Sport because the stock items were shocking and frequently fail. I had no problems with them at all for 20k miles.
I can only assume that a big, 1500kg car reacts to poly bushers differently than a small, 1000kg hatch?
Thanks for the responses guys!
I'm far from scared to talk to anyone, about anything. But how would you call someone if no number has been left???? Please tell me...
Then how did you miss these examples, above?
:S
EDIT : Beat me to it 'bland'!
Revels and Tyranical - You guys really need to READ my posts!
Again: I never ONCE made an offer - it's not really clever to do that until you've SEEN the vehicle - and I only emailed when it was the only form of communication offered...
The reason stating that I'm a cash buyer is to assure...
I'm a cash buyer that has only enquired - not offered - on about 5 cars in the last week.
Not one of the sellers has returned my emails! From either here or PH.
Seriously, WTF?
