Racings where its at, and yes I follow the racers code. If your challenger goes on orange you dont even bother going for it, they have lost automatically. The hazard lights to rub it in is an old favourite. BTW Mr Slayer, were you trying to ave it with a light blue Escort Cossie the other day...
I can think of a couple that are expensive and good. Members get to see their discount prices. Otherwise I just got mine done at a place in Rayleigh, just near Southend. Just over 200 notes for the whole job.
Im gutted mate, mines off the road temporarily, it might be ready for next week but it looks doubtful...I dont know why Danny dont wanna race me, Ill go easy on him. Let him get to the 1/8 of a mile then go, or something like that. I reckon all the valver drivers know theyre gonna get their arse...
On my Cobra subframes, they come with a mounting point welded to the frame as standard. So around my drivers seat, (I use 4 point harnesses) I have two shoulder straps that go through the back of the seat and onto the side and middle points where the old rear seatbelts went. Then the two lap...
Yeah thats another thing actually Kev, the problem with flips and crazy paint is that it has to be done perfectly otherwise it shows up. And if you get stonechips its gonna look well rough cos you cant exactly touch it up that easily.
I wouldnt have thought they would go at all. Unless you get busy with the old craft knife to get the wings to fit. Youd probably be better off rolling your metal arches than putting valver ones on.
Good memory Mr Adams! Yeah the BMC was hot stuff. Then again I should bloody hope so, the amount of hassle it was getting it to fit the throttle body. In fact even finding a space for it in the engine bay was tricky!
BTW LOL youre thinking about changing the induction to a carbon airbox and...
LOL yeah but Geordiepaul Im not the kind of VW/Audi nut who cares one way or the other about the factory mods on a TT. To me if its a slow one its got one tailpipe and if its quicker its got two. Must have been the quicker one cos of the way he was trying to keep up. The slow one would have...
Depends where you live but there are a few round Essex. L&R Spares in Tilbury, theres some place down Burnt Mills in Basildon, 1st Call in Benfleet. All Renault specialists and usually have 16v parts in.
Just done a bit of working out and it seems the closest to my street size is a Yokohama A006-T tarmac stage tyre in 190/610R17. Can anyone get a price on these or some ideas about where I might try?
Whats he got? The problem with using semi comp tyres is that they come in bloody weird sizes almost all in 15s so no proper street sizes like 205/40/17.
Well my latest info is Santa Pod RWYB is on the weekend after next the 18th May or something, then the first York RWYB Ill be at will be the big Cliosport meet at the end of July, with a night out on the town on Saturday then 1/4 miling Sunday. Ill prob try and make it up to the land of pigeon...
LOL Id say theyre more Donnay than Ascot! Ascot is really scraping the bottom of the barrel - sorry to any Ascot wearers.
Ive had PI springs for 3 years now and theyve always worked perfectly - at the end of the day, they work and thats all you need really.
Best technique is to get down your nearest industrial estate in the middle of the night and practice your starts until your clutch burns out. Well maybe stop before that happens...best laying down of power comes from the where youre just about to break into wheelspin. If you can pull away...
Errrr...everything? Driving around since I had the turbo done, nothing has ever overtaken me unless I felt like taking it easy. Cant remember any real super super fast cars going for a race unfortunately. Most recent ones, today and yesterday, a Celica GT Four, Jag XJ 12 and Audi TT...
LOL spot on Mike you said it mate. Quarter miling is the only thing thatll settle the pub bullsh*t about whos built the quicker car.
Ive been thinking along the same lines anyway, thinking of getting some Yokes, A042or A032 R, kind of like cut slicks. Just enough tread to be road legal on the...
