There is! Jas videod it but I dont know what hes done with the footage. Its got the 145mph run across the border into Germany, the twisty mountain roads and unexpected gravel trap coming screaming out of the tunnel, then the only filmed lap before my clutch went...all two miles of it.:(
I just picked one up from Maplins today. A small digital readout with a 3m wire and a small probe at the end about the same size as a a banana plug. Now I just need to find where I can put it in the inlet tract so that boost pressure wont blow it out.
LOL yeah thats what I thought mate...getting up that long hill was like waiting for paint to dry! Im waiting to see the video of you driving James 1.4, I had bagged a lift in Neils V6 and shot you from behind but you were getting further and further in front! A couple of motors overtook us, a...
Bloody hell its been a right chore reading this whole thread. Anyway all I can say is that york post up the times on their website so they are there for all to see. Well done again to everyone who ran today, some quality times. BTW Tim those Yokes that are just about road legal, have you driven...
Mwahahhahahahah...looks like we have some more 1/4 miling addicts! Quality times lads. BTW anyone who doubts them, York has the identical timing gear to Santa Pod and IMHO is flatter as well. The launch surface at York you can choose...depending on whether youre running slicks or road tyres. At...
Well we all found out thanks to Eds crazy driving of a hired 1.7 diesel Astra, that how fast your car is or how well it handles has little bearing on how fast you get round...there are so few straights that the secret is just to never slow down for corners!
Ed Im definitely coming over again soon, and Im sure theres plenty of others wholl be up for it. BTW If that does mean the claw of the master then i want LA GRIFFE DU MAITRE on my back window ASAP. Beats On a Mission hands down!
Im wearing the shorts and red t shirt on the right of the picture. Strangely enough Amanda my wife managed to get right in the middle of the shot at the front - the hot stuff with the white v-necked top on.
Yeah funny how theyre buying up all the old valvers! The dogbone mounts not too hard Ivan, just a bolt in each end and theres nothing needs moving out of the way really.
Ben it bounces cos one of the rear shocks is done in and its a normal street, not a perfectly smooth race track. Broken hairdryer my arse! Id like to see what anyones car sounds like through the built-in mic of a handheld digital camera...your fleet of motors probably sound like someone playing...
Ben Ill get some done soon mate, what about York next month, can you come down and run a few quarter miles? Aint seen you for bloody ages! BTW did you get your indicators sorted out in the end?
Neil, I got Cobra to do the seats like that at the factory. The doorcards I trimmed myself, I got an...
LOL sh*t Im busted as the behind the scenes man! Craggys a pretty good lens-man I must say, but that bird asleep in the car, that cracked me up. We all reckon she was there on purpose just pretending to be asleep so people would look inside as she was showing her wares.
Haha thats a corker, Ive never heard it from the outside before! As already said, that was just a test run, not really going for it, probably only about 5 psi on the gauge. When its really on boost then it frightens people! If I change gear fast, say 1st to 2nd, or 3rd to 4th, when Im actually...
LOL all the show-goers get to see the messy feature cars up close! Last year we clocked that Pazs Clio at Donny & Donny South, and that was pretty untidy. The only quality was the cage inside, seriously, everything else was flimsy and bodged. Then there was the Incredible Bulk yesterday on one...
oh sh*t yeah theres her as well. What about the dirty looking one washing the car with her baps on show? Or that brown-haired beauty over on the far side! LOL vid number 3 is a real hoof job!
Im running 5mm spacers on the front at the moment just to be able to run my massive brakes. But Ive noticed Ive got problems with it shaking the car once you get up to 90mph and above. Just had the balancing on the wheels done again, but without the spacers attached to the wheels when the...
BTW they are really light but they do look smaller than other wheels cos the spokes are chunky. But I dont care anyway, I already had 18s on just to prove it could be done!
Here! Sorry its a crappy photo, it was just a quick snap from a few weeks ago when it was still work in progress, no seats, no interior, no headlights or engine etc.http://www.nickread.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/images/forumhost/ozwheels.jpg
