I have just been to Newcastle and back from Ashford. In total about 700 miles. 34.2mpg. Most of it motorway, most of it at 80, some at 90, bit's at 50 :-)
2 tanks of BP Ultimate
Yay! just picked it up and took it for a little run.
Feels fantastic, gearbox is as tight as a ducks chuff, handling is excellent. I have a smile on my face again.
Now I can go and throw the keys to the damn Astra TD back to the company. YAY!
Excellent :-) So how can you tell (my thoughts were it might be because of the anthracite alloys)?
Yeah, sorry about that, was posting from work so was being lazy :-P
See http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?t=361310
Long story short, hit a dog while doing 70+, got shafted by...
Nipples? Do you mean the headlight washers? :)
Can you get colour code replacements?
Also, would it say on the V5 or similar if it has any of the cup packs on it, I'm assuming not, but it feels like a harder ride than the other 182's I test drove, dealer didn't know and it didn't state it...
After my fun and games with my 172, a dual carriageway, a dog, and my insurance company, then having to drive around in a crap
Vauxhaul Astra oil burner for the last couple of months.
I JUST GOT ME ANOTHER RENAULTSPORT!! :D:D:D:D
2005 182 in blue with antracite wheels.
18k miles
1 previous...
Luckily I am due a windfall (hopefully) soon as my Dad left me a some money in his will (that is one of the crappy things that happened to me this year).
So I will be using this to get me back behind the wheel of a Clio RS again.
I may even think about getting a 197 once the money comes...
You're telling me :dapprove:
I've only had the damn thing since April.
It was the car that I really wanted though. I didn't have a car for 4 or 5 years because I had no need for one, but when I had need of a car, there was no thinking about it at all, I wanted a 172, I thought I had a good...
Well f**k-a-d00dle-doo!
Just had a meeting with the insurance engineer.
It looks like I bought a f**king lemon.
They removed the body panels to be replaced, chucked it up on a lift to check the suspension geometry.........
It's totally fucked up. All the geometry is out, so far out it's not...
Easilly. I paid 5k for my Ph2 172 with 46k on it and full service history back in April, and it was pretty much perfect (well, until i got my hands on it anyway :dead:), just minor wear and tear on the steering wheel and drivers seat that had been properly repaired (with receipts and...
Well, the garage finally got back to me with my repair quote.
£1200!! :eek::eek::eek:
New front bumper, headlight, fog light, drivers side wing.
Then they'll check the suspension geometry to make sure there's no damage there.
Oh well, lucky I don't have any no claims bonus to lose.
I'm...
There was some braking, but with the amount of time I had to react was minimal, so it made little to no difference anyway.
I'm getting stuck with a piece of crap 1l car while mines getting fixed :-( Though I can upgrade to a normal clio for £1.40 a day, so i think i will do that.
I'm not a dog owner, but I am a dog person.
I'm not thrilled that I probably killed someones dog, but unfortunately in that situation of me hitting a dog or possibly crashing my car and injuring myself the dogs going to get it every time.
The damage to the car doesn't really come into it...
I've actually taken a closer look, there's not a spot of bloody anywhere on the car, so maybe the dog had the luckiest day of it's life.
Also, reported to the police who said they would get someone to take a look. I made the day of the woman who took the incident report though. She asked a...
Not a clue, I suspect so, as I was doing about 80 when i hit it :( and it was only a little thing.
Going to phone the RSPCA or something as was 1/2 mile down the road by the time I could pull over safely.
Just hit a stupid small dog on the way home from work. :(
Taken out my front bumper/headlight/random stuff behind the bumper & now makes a grinding sound turning left.
Had just come off the motorway (M20, Junction 10, Ashford), get off the roundabout onto the dual carriageway (A2070)...
So, on what level of difficulty would it be for me to change my own Cat?
I'm fairly mechanically able, but to be honest I haven't done any real mechanical stuff in years except changing my brake pads last weekend.
I've got a trolly jack, axle stands, and a decent selection of spanners...
Cliosport sticker in the back.
I pulled out behind you from the garage on Brookfeld Road, then followed you all the way to the M20 roundabout.
I like your alloys :-)
I decided to follow you to see if you would go for it, because I just did my RSTuner mapping today :-) (and just changed my...
Does anyone know of a decent bodywork repair specialist in Kent who won't cost the earth?
A month or so back, some git scraped down the side of me in a car park, left no details and wasn't caught on CCTV.
As you can see it runs from under the door handle all the way to the rear arch.
As it...
Well, took it down to the local renault place, and yes it went into limp mode.
It seems limp mode turns itself off when you stop and start the engine.
There is a wiring fault somewhere in the accelerator fly-by-wire system, so i have them looking now.
Comming down the motorway this morning on my way to work, the warning light in the center came on, it's the one that looks like the electronic symbol for a resistor in a box (manual seems to say it's either electronics problem or water in fuel).
Then I was limited to 3000 revs and the engine...
