Yay! just picked it up and took it for a little run. Feels fantastic, gearbox is as tight as a ducks chuff, handling is excellent. I have a smile on my face again. Now I can go and throw the keys to the damn Astra TD back to the company. YAY!

There was some braking, but with the amount of time I had to react was minimal, so it made little to no difference anyway. I'm getting stuck with a piece of crap 1l car while mines getting fixed :-( Though I can upgrade to a normal clio for £1.40 a day, so i think i will do that.

Well, took it down to the local renault place, and yes it went into limp mode. It seems limp mode turns itself off when you stop and start the engine. There is a wiring fault somewhere in the accelerator fly-by-wire system, so i have them looking now.
