If you have just created a DVD disc with a .wmv file on it your DVD player will likely not know what the hell it is.
I don't think I've ever come across a DVD player that plays WMV's anyway. You get ones that will play .avi as long as they are DivX or Xvid codec, but .WMV, never.
If you have...
I've done some research (well, using google) into the 2ohm speaker/4 ohm amp issue.
It seems that the Infinity Reference and Kappa 2ohm lines are safe to use on 4ohm HU's.
The Infinitys are not actually 2ohm, they are closer to 3ohm (2.65), and according to Infinity's site:
It seems that...
Cool, thanks to all for the advice. :hail:
I think I'll see how it goes doing it by hand for now, see how it goes. then I'll see about a machine further down the line.
Nice.
I've had a similar idea myself (not as far as the pimp renault logo), but using tri-colour LED's and something like this: http://www.bigclive.com/rgbcont.htm driving them.
Then you can choose whatever colour you like at the click of a button.
edit: Also, you must have some serios...
Ah, cool, thanks.
So I will need to find somewhere to stick the crossover then.
Is there a link to a wiring diagram for the connector plugs inside the dash anywhere on here? I think I'd rather cut the wires on the sony->renault connector I use rather than the loom itself, but a diagram od...
I'm wanting to replace the OE speakers in my 182 with something with a little bit more punch.
I'm looking at getting a pair of Infinity Kappa Perfect 5.1's (need 4ohm speakers, see the bit at the end for a question on this) which obviously come with their own crossover.
Now, when it comes down...
You reckon it may be worth TFR'ing the whole car then to strip off any pre-existing wax etc? Then I'm starting from a near perfect base.
The other option is to get the first one done professionally and then do it myself from there on.
Might have been me.
I was heading to work and passing that way about 2:15 today. (I work down Hermitage Lane, near Barming Station)
I was ever so slightly late for work, so if it was me and I didn't acknoledge you, apologies :-) (I was meant to start at 8am today)
I live just off of Beaver Road (behind the MFI).
From the post above, that was me you saw on Sunday. Nice plate.
My new CS sticker should be with me in the new year.
I've just got myself my new 182 in Arctic Blue, the paintwork is in very good condition and I can't really see any swirl marks or anything like that.
As I have decided I want to keep it in tip-top condition I thought the first proper wash/polish/wax should be a full on one, and I was wondering...
Indeed, colour will not matter :-) It'll be hidden under fluff :-).
Now I just have to figure what colour, do I go for black, or do I go for something close to the Alcantara.
I might get a test piece done to see how close the colour match can be done.
I'm thinking the plastic parts in the interior like the dash and the door pillars etc. I like the leather/alcantara interior, but the acres of plastic annoy me.
The reason being, is I'm toying with the idea of getting these parts flocked, but as it is my daily drive I don't fancy driving...
The cup does not have any of the "luxuries" that the normal has. i.e. leather/alcantara interior, climate control, ESP (traction control), ABS, headlamp washers.
I live in Ashford and work in Maidstone, so I do the M20 trip every day, used to be in a Silver 02 172 ph2, now in a blue 05 182 with cup packs.
Saw a 1*2 in Silver on my way in this morning at about 10:15, didn't catch the plate as I was creaming it down the outside lane due to being a tad...
I'm gonna give it a go.
[At] 6am [there was a] stolen van dumped outside [my] front door. [The van's] window was put in with a hammer, and 2 other cars [had] got[ten] stolen around the area last night.
[It was] lucky my bors[?brothers?] [Ducatti] st-3 and my [Renault]sport wasnt gone! [Then]...
heh heh, yep, went for drinks Thursday night. Only picked up the car on Tuesday, so I thought I'd take it for a little run :).
Do 182's come with some sort of adaptive volume stereos? I swear everytime the speed crept above 80, the stereo got louder. I never noticed it in my 172.
Not that...
