Can anyone tell me what this is?

It's taking the fuel gases from the tank, saves them and sends them to the engine (inlet manifold) when running. Prevents fuel gases venting to atmosphere. EU emission regulation nonsense!

    My e60 5 Series

Dear OP, you're a moron tbh. Xenon lights only on post LCI cars? 3-series wheels on a much heavier car? M-sport replica as no M-sport interior? 520i is basically the same as a 535i? Well...

    172 cup alternator kit - fitting ???

You could bin the PAS aswell or use a electric pump (Saxo's got one afaik). Then you can use some R19/Laguna/R5/Volvo mounts from the scrapyard and keep the standard alternator. Pump...

    mounting 4 point belts

Schroth instructions say that the rear bench seatbelt points should be used. Motorsport gurus or whatever they call themselves will come along and say that it's going to compress your spine etc. But the Schroth harnesses are tested (by the TÜV) for every specific vehicle stated in the...

Noisy engine when ticking over, any help?

No way! Dephaser pulley change is a new timing belt job. Around 500-800 quid.

Has my charcoal purge valve already been removed?

Yes, that's right. You might be able to replace the valve with a resistor of similar impedance to simulate the valve. Just to make it clear: electric plug taken off from valve => EML on; electric plug on but pipe blocked=> Recirc system physically deactivated but the ECU "thinks" it is still...

    Few Questions about cambelt change

Drop Wests Renault on here a PM, i am sure he will sort you out regarding parts/numbers. Do you have the correct manual from Renault? Do not use the Autodata one. If you need the correct one, send me a pm.

    ABS light

ABS is not related to the steering angle sensor. Might be brake pedal switch related or a shot wheel sensor.

Has my charcoal purge valve already been removed?

If you unplug the purge valve, your EML will light up. But you can cut the pipe/hose to the engine and block it off (on the engine/plenum side). Too bin the cannister aswell, you need to remove the archliner, take it off and keep the valve plugged in. The line from the tank to the cannister can...

    Few Questions about cambelt change

Camshaft and crankshaft locking tools are absolutly necessary. Pulley locking tools aswell and you'll need the VVT extended cog for the 1*2 F4R engines. Dephaser has a oil seal behind (Renault only) and a seal behind the front cap. If you do not have all the tools and are not aware of the...

The valve sits on the cannister below the driver's headlight. That's just the connecting line in the pic above.
