ive had to change the powersteering pump on the 172 so i took all the bumper and headlight out the way and the alternator and tensioner then fitted the new pump. put it all back together and i couldnt seem to get the tentioner to move enough to fit the belt on. it was definatly on right as i...

had mine done about 18 months ago or somthing like that and the guy at renault said hes been there for 15 years and never had to change one on the 172 as its an oil driven pullie so they dont tend to fail on them. bet hes done a few since lol

ive got quite a severe knocking noise coming from the cam pullie side of the engine but when i turn the wheel, it goes away untill there is no strain on it then it comes back. reving it dosnt make it go any faster or go away so am i right in thinking that its probly the power steering pump and...

this is the problem im having. want to upgrade but im scared that i will regret it after.

this. i raced one at santa pod and spanked it in my 172 but was expecting to have my ass handed to me as they are technically faster cars than the 172 so the driver must have not possesed the skills that i do lol

the weather got mint at about 3 so the night racing was fine, got about 5 runs in then the weather was nice again in the morning and managed another 5 runs ;)

me and my mate (with his ctr) went to santa pod this weekend and he beat me by 0.4 of a second so they are a bit faster but not a huge amount. well his to mine anyway. but as for your clio, you need to take it on a road trip through wales then you will see what they are all about :)
