i do hope so :( got a guy coming round this eve who's meant to be the master of car electronics lol, i'l let u know how we get on :)
trouble with resetting the map is it was done like 300 miles away lol, getting to works a nightmare cos i hav another car but THIRSTY as anything and my company...
Thanks for that info matey, it seems our problems could be similar then, except it seems your mappers may hav been a bit too overzealous with the power cos my lights only eva came on after 4.5k in 5th
Would the tuning company put mine back to standard free of charge?
Note to MATTBLACK, my...
As title really, my dci used to return me 8p per mile but now with rising fuel prices its more like 10-11p per mile :(
As full tank from the red light in the DCI is £72!!!!!
How much to fill up a 172 from the red light? using standard petrol...
Rs Tuning - about a year ago. Like said, ive had no probs with with up til now, but wen i spoke to an electrical specialist he said he won't touch it if its been remapped cos they 'change all the perameters...'
I was driving my dci home late the other nite when the engine management light & red stop light (the ones in the centre of the console) started flashing. The flashing stopped so i carried on cautiously (no loss of power that i could detect) but anyways they came on again about 1 min later and i...
After ages of trying to figure of wot could be causing a click noise from my clutch pedal we've finally worked it out. The clutch is hydraulic and in simple terms: at the top of the clutch pedal is a ROD which pushes the master / slave cylinder of the clutch.
The plastic rod on mine tho has...
You drive a corsa sport? i used to own one of those in sport blue, wrote it off in the rain one day lol
I hav a Dci 100 with a remap thats for sale atm, ive driven 50k in it (the cars done just under 70k) with no probs on the box at all.
No offence i'm sure you guys are very knowledgable, but...
A couple of months back my front tyres were lookin a little sorry for themselves so i took the car in to hav another set of A539's put on and they said they were no longer made....
They put on the new equivilent (the S-Drive) and now my car handles like rubbish, the front tyres don't grip...
Ok ok ive posted a lot of qu's about this lately i'l admit, but for good reason :) Ive decided that its finally time to wave bub bye DCi in favour of something a little more powerful.
I used to own a 106 quiksilver which was slow but i liked the fact it was small and handled a bit like a...
Depends how i drive it tbh :) when i first got it mapped i experimented with different driving styles per tank full & returned 65mpg driving carefully & 52 when thrashing it all the time :)
I can easily keep up with standard 106 gtis while gettin double the fuel return, back of net! ;)
My neighbour has one of those big V8 MG's from 2004, can't remember what model they call it but its 260 bhp and must weigh a lot.
It does 70 in second apparently.
Would a cup match that?
How quick are cups in 1st, 2nd, 3rd etc? :)
You'd hav to travel for it but RS Tuning in leeds will sort you nicely. Bear in mind that if u get the 65 or the 80, a simple remap won't get you 125bhp - like in the case of my 100 for example. But if uve got the will then u can upgrade the intercooler to a 100 spec one, altho i beleive the 100...
