Wishbone bushes are the same for both.. You could just buy new arms from Adam at Wolverhampton parts. Complete new wishbones with bushes and ball joints. Then simply 3 bolts to change it rather than pissing about with a vice pressing bushes out and in
I saw a guy on a BMW forum get this done. Resetting his trip computer before and after.. Driving to the place did 22mpg and driving home did 31mpg. 330ci by the way. So it must have done some good.
Whole engine loom James, I recently changed mine twice.. Had to take it out and fix an earth when it didn't work then put it back in.. I'm now quite quick at that job haha it's not that hard really
Red plastic cover isn't going to help the fuse being blown is it. Changing the whole cable won't be hard once the loom is out the car.. Bit of a ballache to get the loom out though!! Get mick to do it.. He'd love that job :)
This happened to my car with a previous owner. They ran a thick wire from posi terminal into a megafuse the join to the original cable.. Does the same thing but looks bulky.. Yeah you need to keep a fuse though! Think it was 125amp, will have to check though
Small steering wheel makes a huge difference to the feel of the I find. Remap, get a rstuner and load 98ron map and decat the exhaust. Sounds great and 98 map makes a nice difference in power delivery. As said dogbone mount too!
I'm changing the wiring loom around the engine bay for the second time today and a the sound deadening was a PITA to put back right last time.. Was wondering, does anyone not use it and are there any issues not using it? My worries are the fact it exposes the brake lines to the heat from the...
Right, bolting a large gauge cable between the engine and the body has cured it.. All is fine :D well, not all.. I seem to have trapped a couple HT leads and now they're shorting to the manifold and causing terrible miss fires!! Lots of insulation tape has cured it temporarily but need some new...
Fault finding continued and found the earth that bolts to the gearbox doesn't read with the other earths which makes me think there is a break somewhere deep in the loom, so would this cause some of the issues I'm having?? And if i just make a lead to connect the body and the engine.. this would...
The 3 blade fuses are fine, however only the 15amp one has wires connected to both sides of it.. 5 and 30 are both without a wire on one side??? I did think about clip but don't have one and you're about 40 miles away anyway. I've removed the loom again to check for breaks in the wires. Can't...
Today i set about the task of changing the engine bay wiring loom as mine had been hacked about with by the previous owner. Bought one off here from a trophy a while ago now.
Last night and today I took the old one off and fitted the new one to find Trophy one doesn't have wires or plug for...
Straight swap to get my 182, my Clubsport was up for 4.5k and so was the Clio. Then spent almost 5k on work/parts over the first year. Still loads I wanna spend too :(
My clutch and brake have gone the same way. Newish accelerator still looks pretty even though.
From the title I was expecting some s**t 90's jap style bolt on pedal covers!! Lol
