Go to the scrapyard and buy a panel or two to practice on. I actually rate the sonus kit very much. As long as you let the compound break right down then the finish can be excellent.
Due to Conan fitting my wheels recently the locking bolts/nut has been rounded off badly. Managed to loosen them all with a car jack under the brace but will have to change them. Any idea's?
Upon close inspection I have to say that the match of the paint is perfect, exactly as it is to Renault standards (not sure if that's a good thing). There is one untowards scrape on the roof of all places, like some cnut has dragged a box of the roof. I will polish that out the weekend. God...
I used to use this until a week ago and then I tried Duraglos 253. I won't be going back as it made my Fiat Punto tyres look brand new and shiny. Will be doing the 197 the weekend.
Re: 197 Stolen (sort of) Updated
Jesus H Crist. So after more fobbing off by both parties I find out at lunchtime that two "families" were re-issued with their cars as a gesture of goodwill. I absolutely lost it with the administrators who called me back in 10 minutes flat to give me my car. I...
Thanks for that. That sounds awful, refer it all back to your insurer. Mines in for repair at the moment and having waited for a month I don't think I could cope with a bad paint job. Even if it's top notch I couldn't recommend them as they have just gone bump.
Around 16:45 going towards West Heath from the Green. I was in a poxy Corsa looking pissed off travelling towards the green. 07 plate if I'm not mistaken.
Yes, just. KPMG just called me following my threat to call the bib.
They are claiming that RBS (who own Direct Line) are witholding payment for repair work as they believe that they will have no recourse should the work that has been carried out comes into question at a later date. Direct Line...
Tried that (KPMG appointed administrators) but they won't take my call. I e-mailed them and suddenly their workshop manager is on the phone saying the car is just going on their geometry test and will be signed off as complete. Another conflicting story as they said it had been road tested...
And the millions they invest in R&D can be dismissed so lightly now that you have a photo of the underside of a 197? get real. Leave the hype out of it and explain, with technical facts (not your opinion) why the technology does not work.
I don't know of many 20 y/o kids who can afford a 197.
I had one of their advisors arguing with me today saying that they haven't got time to talk to the garage every day for an update and that it should be down to me. Luckily all my calls are recorded and when I spoke to this mutants boss to recount his comments she was worried about his attitude...
Yes I agree but as sash says, it would go on the HPI database and I could do without that. I really want that car back as it's a minter with low miles. I just spent another £200 on detailing gear and I can't use it. I have my wheels booked in for a powder coating next week but that's a no go as...
Their website has the creditors name clearly on show but Direct Line have instructed me to let them deal with it. I was told Enterprise would be calling me to arrange a car but nothing, I just called them and they are saying Direct Line gave them an incorrect number to contact me on. Nightmare...
Work is said to have been done & complete as the Direct Line engineer at the garage gave it the quality once over for release. It was at this point he got onto his bosses to give them the bad news.
