have you changed anything prior to the problem appearing ? silly question but your leads are connected the correct order aren't they (talking from experience here haha )
why not try your local motor factors ? failing that check online at places like euro car parts or buypartsby, any of these places will be able to sort you out a pattern part system
from what i could see on mine the nuts are welded in position , however one of mine decided to break off and start spinning so had to get the dremel out to cut the bolt
looking good, i have just got new plates myself, wimped out with the small plates and went for legal size , didn't want any police attention. really nice 182 you have there!
not sure about your 197 but my 172 the fuel consumption change was very marginal however you will find it dipping slightly it you open the taps just for the noise. I have recently reverted back to standard and it feels more refined (probably in my head though)
-all bulbs working (incl indicators)
-headlight alignment
-all tyres
-any excessive movement in wheel & suspension components with wheel jacked up
- wipers clearing screen properly
- remove any fancy air fresheners from the rear view mirror
- check exhaust is not blowing
- number plates...
yeah 5w40 fully synthetic, whats more important than the brand you choose is the oil change intervals - if you are changing at every 5-6k then IMHO its much less important
For info i run 5w40 Carlube Triple R
its only the same job my current stainless cable ties are doing!
someone please produce one at an affordable price i.e. not £35 , because a knocking exhaust at the rear is really doing my head in at the moment!!
failing that i might be forced to pay it :-(
will you be fitting it yourself or taking it to an exhaust place?
i think the 172 system is 2.25 or 2.5 as standard - get a inlet size similar to this then ask the exhaust place to fit it, they will sort it.
good work kp, i have bodged mine with steel cable ties, 3 on the center section and 2 on the backbox, however my exhaust still knocks on the rear beam..got a new center one on order but i can't help think its the crappy design of the pattern part exhaust which isn't helping !
