funny you should say that, I had mine into reno today about a mechanical problem, also I told them there was some paint missing from the inside of the passanger door. When I looked on the service sheet it said they had removed some masking tape from the car!
Theres also a pretty bad paint...
Had the beast in to reno today for a problem that came on a couple of weeks back. The car isnt ticking over right, sounds like its struggling sometimes, theres also a a mean flat spot right at the bottom of the revs.
They had it all day and when I went to collect it (get ready for the big...
I think Im with Clarkson on this one. I would have a V6 in my Lotte4ry garage but unfortunately I couldnt afford to loose all the money on buying one, just not practical. Its something Id look at doing in a few years tho for sure as I think they will be a classic motor in years to come.
Ive been thinking about doing this. Theres a metal polish you can buy thats in like a silver toothbrush type tube and its a paste that you rub on with a rag. It works really well. Ill see if I can get some today and Ill post a pic of it.
Ive had eagle F1s on a car before and I must say in the wet they are brilliant, but feck me in the dry they are worse! Wouldnt have them again, they do last well but the dry performance is not there at all.
Cool car no doubt but can you afford the appauling residuals???? If I got one Id never sell it. You should be able to pick a Mk1 up for the same price as a new 172 soon so they are no longer crazy money (seen them advertised at £15K In the trader in my area (west yorks)
Not had many cars really, always end up keeping them for ages.
Ones worth mentioning:
1.3SR Nova (It rocked!) Twin Webbers, K&N, zorst, headworks etc
106 XSI - Standard - Fun in the wet!
Fiat Bravo - Standard apart from phat 17"s and slammed V low. Looked cool but was vvvvvvvv slow...
If I see a cliosport sticker then yeah of course I flash. Sometimes with the headlights as well.
I think if you flash someone whos not in cliosport/not "into" the car they might think your either gay or got road rage.
Bedazzled - Yeah I was talking to him for ages about all the stuff hed done on the car. I think he mentioned you actually doing trackdays. Youll have to get yourselfs up to york for the 1/4 miling m8 :)

Was this the car in question? Were you at Oulton Park at the weekend or just a coincidence? These wheels are vvvvv nice :)

Thats one of the most misquoted things I see all the time when talking about speeding. They can do you for doing 31 in a 30 if they want but the % which is I think 6% they "allow" is in case your speedo is...
I got 6 point and £200 for 80 in a 50 so I think it should come within 3 points but might go to court. But chances of film been in are still slim till they all go digital.
Im sure someones mentioned this before but could find it , how do you reset the trip computer and everything on a mk2 172?
Oh and while were at it how do you turn the auto lights on and off?
Ta!
yeah I think tyre pressures might be to blame there m8, specially when you say steering feel goes at high speed thats a definite symptom (Ive done it myself before!)

were you at...
I got sick of waiting for k tec to release the ramcharcher for the 172 so I got a piper X today. Its nice and loud but Im reserving judgement till its been on a bit longer. First thoughts are that its lost power but Ill see how it goes.
The loudest one Ive heard is those cheapo ones you can...
