buy one m8 you wont regret it. Cups are ok but for the difference in money (as low as a grand if you know where to look) its mad not to go for the 172. Then again it depends what you want out of the car. I went for the fancy seats and sacrificed a marginal performance difference. Not that it...
young people have more disposable income than ever so its not that surprising that 20 year olds can get a 172. Good luck to em I say. If youve got a nice motor at least its keeping the youfs off the streets and there not on crack or summat.
Im well happy with the 172. I drive it hard and I think if you do drive hard you can expect problems (thats not really rennos fault to a certain extent) I had a fiat bravo actually before the clio and yes they are superb cars (driving position is ACE) but the 172 is a different beast. If you...
I had a fester Mk1 for my first car think insurance on that was £500
Next my legendary nova SR that was about £600 on mums policy tho. Kept that for about three years
then I was driving the girlfreinds 106 xsi (superb motor!) that was about £750
Then we got a fiat bravo 1.4 when we...
hmmm intersting Ive got an amp in the car , I havent tried unhooking it or whatever. This seems to have come on after thrashing the car round silverstone the other week. As I was telling my girlfreind a thrash round the track should knacker the car up when its meant to be a renno "sport" hehehe...
a geezer over the road from me has had it happen on a year old 1.4, Ill have to nip over and ask him what it was. I noticed he had a courtesy car for about three days the other week so I hope it nowt major!
I think its the most awful thing ever manufactured for the clio. Looks like something out of a folia-tec catalogue! Why spoil a nice motor by strapping that thing on?!?! eeeeeww
Got the beast booked in to reno for the first real fault weve had on her so far. Noticed a couple of days ago that tickover was really rough, making the shake a little now and agine. Went to fire her up this morning and she cut out. On the second attempt she kept running but the lumpyness was...
hmmm 130 on a bypass road tut tut. Couldnt have expected any other outcome really m8 could you? Anyway sorry to hear your having to get rid of the motors. That must be a bigger punishment than the fine or the ban :(
I wasnt keen on these (mainly due to K Tec demo car being bloody awful) but having seen one on a cup (Kartmens) they do look the daddy. I might be interested depending on the price and quality of them.
check your oil level m8. It happened with my 172 (although it did say oil low on the computer) apparently they can use oil during running in and yours is a similar milage to mine.
My fav colour is actually monaco blue but we couldnt get one in that colour. Black definately makes it less noticeable on the road and red is one thats grown on me (I think its the classiest colour of the lot) Silver suits the car best but far to common a colour ;)

heres my beast. And Dogmaul definately touting for a black eye. Black is definately a man clio colour.
Any less than £500-600 quid and theyyre bodging it. my mates just bought a pug gti that needs tidying and hes been quoted up to 2 grand for a same colour respray but £550 seems to be about the average price
Theres little difference on the road between the two. Up to 60 both cars in standard trim are very evenly matched. Its only when the 172 hits the VVT in third gear that it starts kickin ass....unless your following craggy then you can just forget it.
